Color Hues #119

My friend Marcia picked the colors for Color Hues and they work beautifully for this time of year.  Somewhere I saw a wreath made of gourds and wanted to make one for this challenge.

The dies are Honey Bee's Fall Bounty colored with Distress Inks in Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Rusty Hinge along with Altenew's Warm Sunshine, Honey Drizzle and Red Jasper.  The biggest gourds also have a spritz of Fossilized Amber Distress Spray.  A Honey Bee sentiment and Burlap embossing folder complete the card.

I'm still trying to get my stuff organized after unpacking all I took to Michigan (plus things I bought while there) and in trying to make labels my printer quit.  I guess they're not supposed to last longer than 10 years.  😖  I'm researching new ones and when I decide I'll be back in business.

Thanks for dropping by.

Color Hues #97

I combined Honey Bee's Crate and their Fall Bounty dies with the colors at Color Hues to come up with this card.

The background is a stencil from TCW using Crushed Olive over a mustard yellow cardstock and the sentiment is from Jillian Vance.  Thank goodness you can use a neutral because that brown was needed to add contrast.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you come back tomorrow for a couple of my Design Team cards.

Freshly Made Sketches #655 and Tic Tac Toe #257

I finally had some inspiration for a couple of challenges and the right stamps/dies to make them.  This one is for Freshly Made Sketches.

The gourds are from Honey Bee's Fall Bounty, cut in white (except the one on the left that was cut from yellow) and colored with a variety of inks.  The background is Altenew Yogurt cardstock embossed with HB's burlap folder.  The sentiment is also HB.

I'm also sending this to Tic Tac Toe, using the top row across - Harvest, Orange, Die Cut.  I hope my one little pumpkin is enough orange to qualify.

Thanks for dropping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #602 and NBUS #54

Kim has a great sketch for us at Freshly Made Sketches.

My proportions may not be quite right and the sentiment is in a different place but you can still see the sketch.

I used HoneyBee gourds from the Lovely Layers: Fall Bounty set, coloring them with a variety of Altenew inks and blending brushes.  The checked paper is from HoneyBee and the sentiment is from Concord and 9th's Garden Grown.  I love a good pun and that set has a number of them.

Since this is the first time using the gourds and the sentiment, I will be sending them to NBUS

I'm so glad you took some time to drop by my blog.  I love reading your comments.
