Freshly Made Sketches #722

I don't know what made me pull out my Pins and Needles Jar dies from Spellbinders while looking for something for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches but once I took a look at it, an idea came to mind.

Next I went looking for paper with stitches on it and found this one from an old, old paper pack from WeRMemory Keepers.  No stitches so I added them with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles.  The sentiment is from BetterPress.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me.

Freshly Made Sketches #717 and NBUS #82

I'm glad Freshly Made Sketches stretched out challenge #717 for an extra week so I had time to make a card.

Being a quilt maker and former seamstress, this Spellbinders set called Pins and Needles spoke to me when it went on sale.  I also added the BetterPress set with sentiments and a smaller pair of scissors.  The scissors and needle are cut from matte silver and the floss card from Desert Storm. The stitched background is a Honey Bee coverplate on Teal Topaz cardstock.  I wonder if I should have inked the coverplate with white.  Would it look like it was actually stitched?

This is also going to Darnell's NBUS challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a little bit of your time with me.

Freshly Made Sketches #389

Part of the reason I got the new Hero Arts monthly kit is so I can use the needle and thread with my small quilt dies from WPlus9.  I used both of those for my card for Freshly Made Sketches.
I colored the little pieces and the sentiment strip with Zigs.  After putting it all together, I stamped the needle and thread with CP Twilight.

Thanks for dropping by.
