Merry Monday #247

I didn't think I had anything to use to make a card for Merry Monday this week.  They want a non-black silhouette.  The non-black part wasn't the problem.  It was the silhouette part. Then I remembered my SSS Village.  I played around with it until I came up with a design that I liked.
The images don't cut at the bottom so you can line them up, die cut and then cut out in between.  I did have another building and tree but the building was a little slanted.  Now what?  I decided to put them in a circle which meant I could cut off the offending images. ;)  I also cut two SSS slopes to put in front of the houses.  It's difficult to see the first one but I like the dimension it gives to the card.  Once I had my top panel put together, I masked off where the windows would be and inked with DOX in Faded Jeans.  I added a few spatters, removed the mask and inked the window area with Zigs.  The sentiment from PB was stamped in Faded Jeans also.  That's one thing about the Oxides.  You can stamp sentiments with them.

That's quite a long write up about what I did.  If you made it through, thank you.  If you just looked at the card, that's okay too.

Thanks for dropping by.

MUSE CV #70, CTS #198 and 25 Tags Day 10

It's Christmas time in the craft room.   First up is Muse Christmas Visions.  Chriss's card inspired me to make this.
I used the same SSS village cuts on a vertical card with a bigger hill and white sentiment on pp.

Lucky me I had already made a card that was just waiting for a challenge and CAS(E) This Sketch is it.
I wanted to try colored pencils on black so I white embossed the SSS set and used my Inktense Pencils.

Lastly I have another entry into Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas.  I was inspired by Tracey's own card.
I used a Neat and Tangled set from SOA and pretty much CASEed her tag.

That's silver you're seeing on the star and little balls, and the pink starbursts are almost undetectable but they're there.

I'm so glad you dropped by today.  Your comments keep me going.

Merry Monday #142

No time to talk.  I've been watching the clock so I could get this card into the Merry Monday challenge on time.

I only have one house image/die and that's what I had to go with.  I had the idea for a couple of days but no time to work on it.  I hurried, which is not a good idea, and got this baby made in a little over an hour.

It's only my second shaker card, made with SSS Village and Stitched Slopes, a little Stormy Sky Distress Ink, a sentiment by Penny Black and some sequins and glitter.

15 minutes til deadline.  I'm off to post.  Thanks for stopping by.
