Time Out #308- Happy 12th Birthday!

That's right.  Time Out is 12 years old.  You can read about its start on the blog.  For this challenge we welcome Stef Perry as our muse and she has created a card for all of us to CASE. 

Here's a closer look.

Stef does a beautiful job of coloring flowers and while she used alcohol markers for hers, I went with a different medium.

It all started with gold embossing Hello Beautiful from Altenew and then using the stencils to color the flowers. The background panel was trimmed down and embossed with the Time Worn Type folder by SU.  Before adding it to a C9 Nutmeg card base, a few gold splatters were added.  The sentiment is from BetterPress foiled in gold.

Color Throwdown #836 and NBUS #76

I made a card for Color Throwdown a while ago and am just getting a chance to post it.  

I got a few new things from Pinkfresh Studio and one worked beautifully for the colors - if you like Kraft leaves.  lol  Because it's new I'm also sending this to NBUS. 

The stamp set comes with a stencil and I used Altenew Rubelite, Razzleberry and Autumn Blaze for the flowers and Rocky Shores for the leaves.  The panel was trimmed and embossed with the SU Tasteful Textile folder, then placed on a matching cardstock.  The sentiment is BetterPress.

The Flower Challenge #104 - Color Challenge.

For the month of July, The Flower Challenge wants you to be inspired by the colors in the photo

The flowers are Golden Days by Altenew, stamped in Peach Perfect, Caramel Toffee and Paper Bag with the leaves in inks from the Cool Summer Night collection.  The background panel was spritzed with Salvaged Patina Distress Spray and covered with a plate from Concord and 9th.  The sentiment is a SB Betterpress done in Paper Bag.  A micro pen helped define the stamens.

Color Hues #110

Pink and Plum.  Those are the colors Karen picked for the Color Hues challenge.  Perfect for flowers, don't you think? 

 

In this case the flowers are Peony Dreams from Altenew, cut from the best pink and plum paper I could find in my stash.  The medium plum one is textured and I'm not sure where it came from.  It's the only mid-range one I had.  The background is Tasteful Textiles from SU! and the sentiment is a BetterPress from Spellbinder's 'You Are Everything' which happens to be on sale half price as of this post.

The Flower Challenge #102 - Reminder

My last card featured stripes so I went with spots for this one.

The flowers are from Altenew's Watercolor Garden, colored with Distress Sprays that have been manipulated on watercolor paper.  The polka dot paper is an oldie from my stash and the sentiment is BetterPress.
