Seize the Birthday, Tic Tac Toe #8 and Muse #161

I took a break from the thank you cards only because I wanted to enter one into the Seize the Birthday challenge with the floral topping.  It actually began as a card for Make It Monday and their color isolation challenge. Check out Ashley's video to see what that is.   As I was planning the card, I saw the challenge at Tic Tac Toe and used the elements in the middle row down - enamel accents, color, labels.
ETA:  Well my mistake.  The Make It Monday challenge closed last week but at least it inspired this card so I can't be too unhappy.
Background: Altenew Beautiful Day stamped in fog.  Floral:  PTI Vintage Linens colored with Zigs, with black Enamel Accents added to the center. Leaves: SSS Best Mom Ever (my only outlined leaf stamp)  Labels: Neat and Tangled.   I guess I could have called the center of the flower my enamel accents but decided to put the real thing on the card, just in case.

For another Thank You, I was inspired by Anita's card at Muse.
I had a piece left over from a faux mother-of-pearl challenge and made good use of it.
I added the die cut from CASual Fridays in Melon Berry and a sentiment from HLS.

That's enough for today although I have four cards ready for posting.  I had to make them while the inspiration struck and before I got immersed in Thank You cards to all the people who attended my parents' Celebration of Life and contributed to their memorial fund.  Thanks to all of you who have kept me and my family in your thoughts and prayers these past few weeks.  It's helped me make it through.  Cyber hugs to you all, especially those who sent beautiful hand made cards.

Gorgeous cards, Bobby. I love your flowery tic-tac-toe card; that blossom is beautifully "zigafied"! And your card for Muse is spot on! You've aced Anita's card perfectly. Fabulous! Still thinking of you... Bev

Two beauties, Bobby! I love the soft leaves in the background on the first card - it's such a lovely, subtle detail. Brilliant use of the scrap piece on the second card! It's way too pretty to have been wasted. :)

Love your first card, the soft grey background stamping looks beautiful with the vibrant bloom. And I love your take on my card using your faux mother of pearl, fantastic. Thanks for playing along at Muse x

Both cards are stunning, Bobby. The subtle background stamping on the first creates a lovely canvas for your gorgeous flower. The colours in your faux mother-of-pearl: striking. Hugs and prayers continuing to come from me to you (and a note soon!). One thing that's helped me: my morning "chats" with my dad. I light a candle (have done so every day since he passed away), open up his photo and have a little gab session (of course, I do all the talking *grin*). He always used to peek in on my blog and I believe, 110%, that he still does...
Hugs and love~c

Hi Bobby. I actually gasped when I saw your first card. LOVE the soft stamped background and then that big punch of colour from your gorgeous bloom. LOVE this design!

And your faux mother of pearl made a beautiful place to add your inlaid die. Gorgeous again! xx
