Just Us Girls #466 - Trend Week

Have you ever tried using bleach on a card?  Now's your chance since that is the trend that Ina has chosen for us at Just Us Girls.
You never know what kind of results you will get by adding bleach to paper and believe me I experimented a lot.  Some paper didn't change at all and some worked beautifully.  I have not one but two cards to show you.  This is the second one I did when I found out what bleach did to PTI's Ocean Tide.
Isn't this fabulous?  I gold heat embossed the flower from Catherine Pooler and then applied straight bleach with a paint brush and let it dry on its own.

My second card was my first until I goofed and accidentally moved the stamp and got a double image.  I salvaged it by cutting it apart and fortunately I had another scrap of the paper - the very last of my PTI Winter Wisteria.
I love the pink color I got by applying the bleach after heat embossing the SSS Artful flowers in white.

I sure hope you'll give this a try.  Check out the cards from our guest Claire and the rest of the team if you need inspiration.  If you are the challenge winner you could be our guest in January.

Gosh, Bobby, who'd have thought that something as ordinary as bleach would give such gorgeous results ... clearly, in your hands it's anything but ordinary! These are both fabulous ... soft, dreamy and delicate ... couldn't choose between them! Hugs, Anita :)

I've never tried the bleach technique, but these look awesome! Might have to dip into that Clorox!

Both are gorgeous! The Ocean Tide cardstock bleached beautifully and your Wisteria is so soft and lovely. So glad you could salvage that one!

These look super and two totally different looks using the same technique. I like the pinky one as the bleach has given it a lovely delicate look but both are really cool. Thanks for stopping by again and leaving a comment, always appreciated x
