It's time for another Word Week at Just Us Girls
and the word chosen by Carol is
For me, summer is time spent at the lake. Even though the water is usually cold, the laid back atmosphere and the gathering of family and friends is so refreshing. While I don't wear them (I can't stand the thing between my toes) I love the look of flip flops. Especially when they are as colorful as these. I stamped the flowers from MFT, colored them with Zigs, and cut them with a PS die. I used actual sand paper for the sand and inked the sky and lake with Distress Ink. The sentiment is a NBUS one from STAMPlorations.
Our guest designer Emma and the rest of the Design Team would like to see what represents summer to you. Want to see what it means to them? Head on over to the blog, see the wonderful cards they have made and then make one of your own. You may be our next Chic of the Week.

Fun flip flops!
I'd wear this pair, Bobby! and I love your ingenuity creating the perfect sandy beach!

Brilliant sand, Bobby ... and such cute, fun flip flops! I'd wear them if they didn't have that thing between the toes ... like you, that's the reason I don't wear them! Hugs, Anita :)
I love you used the sandpaper for the beach, brilliant! I love your adorable flip flops propped up in the sand. You water and sky look fantastic as well.
Excellent flip flops! They are so adorable :)
Bobby I want a pair of those thongs and love how we were both inspired to create similar cards.
Love the flip flops and that you used actual sand paper for your beach! Talk about texture! Great card!
I'd like to dip my toes in that sand and walk along the shore in those cute flip flops!
You and me alike Bobby - can't stand wearing them but if they were so brightly coloured like yours are I may just once quickly. Love your 'summer' card.
I'm also not a flip-flops/sandals person but if I were, this pair you've created would be in my wardrobe! Those flowers are pure fun! Summer card perfect!
hugs~c
Love the colourful flip flops (although I wouldn't be able to wear them either!) and they really say summer to me :)
