Freshly Made Sketches #679 and NBUS #72

Today's card is for Karren's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

I was looking for a flower to put in the middle of my 'banner' when I saw this Sweet Violet from Altenew that I totally forgot about.  It must be one of their older Craft-a-Flower sets because it doesn't have the keyhole system.  Probably why it was on sale at a good price.  I picked four purples from my scraps, darkening one with Villainous Poison Distress Ink, and two greens.  The banner is from Spellbinders Modern Ovals, embossed with SU's Tasteful Textiles and the background is Altenew's Chain Link Fence.  I was amazed at the dimension I got with that folder.  I forgot to add the Pinkfresh sentiment before I embossed the banner but it worked to stamp it on afterwards.

Both the embossing folder and violet dies are never before used stuff so I'm also sending my card to Darnell's NBUS

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great weekend.

Don't put that one too far away, Bobby - keyhole or not - it's a beauty! Love your embossed layers and of course all these shades of purple for your violets, too! So PRETTY!

How stunning, Bobby!! I love that beautiful violet, and your textured background showcases it perfectly. The white really makes those colors pop, well done!!!

You had just the right scraps of purple to bring this pretty violet to life, Bobby! Fabulous card!

If there was a challenge for texture and dimension, you would win hands down with this gorgeous flower design, Bobby! I love these pieces together and the wonderful hues of purple you used. (Although I was taken back a bit by that "Villainous Poison" ink description, lol!) Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

Amazing flower, Bobby! Wow, this is really stunning and I'm so glad it was ok to put together without the keyholes.
