701 and counting. Can you believe how long Freshly Made Sketches has been challenging us? Here's the new one.
And my card.
The roses are from Penny Black's Love Blooms, colored with Altenew artist markers. The background is Modern Lines from Altenew and it wasn't the easiest embossing folder to work with. The first time it cut through. I changed the sandwich and it still cut in areas. This one was sprayed first but there are still a couple of rough spots. It was the first time using the folder so I didn't have info written on it like I have on all the others. I'll have to play more before I find the perfect sandwich for the Big Shot I use here and then I'll need to do the same with the Intri-Cut when I get home.
Thanks for dropping by. Happy Labor Day weekend to my USA friends.

Ha! I understand those 'sandwiches' completely! But I love the results you got here, Bobby. Such a pretty card with the trio of sweet roses!
It's always wonderful having you in our gallery, my friend.
=]
All my woodgrain embossing folders and coverplates seem to want to cut through too. It saves a lot of time (if you can figure out a good sandwich) to put it on the embossing folder or plate! Regardless, Your rose buds are beautiful against that deep woodgrain!
I'm sorry you had the struggles, but from here the result is perfect! Love the sweet blooms AND that they're on the woodgrain embossing -- such a great combo, Bobby.
(Sorry about deleting that last comment, I really need to check my typing...)
I've had folders do that too...ugh! Glad you worked through it and added those sweet roses! Cute card, Bobby!
I think we've all got a folder or two that cut when we emboss Bobby, but so glad you persevered as the end result with the trio of roses against the woodgrain is GORGEOUS!! CAS perfection my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Beautiful card Bobby. Love the woodgrain background to show off your lovely rose buds. EFs used to be consistent and always worked with the same sandwich, but ever since 3D EFs came on the market, manufacturers don't seem to stick to the same thickness needing us to experiment (sometimes A LOT of times) before finding the right sandwich. I long for the days when things were consistent. Ho-hum. xx
Beautiful card wit those lovely rose buds and woodgrain background. Yes, I have an EF or two that cuts trough also. Glad your persevered to complete this beauty.
