I am so sorry to hear that the CASology challenge is closing at the end of the month.  I have been playing in their challenge for a long time.  In fact I went back and looked at some of the cards I entered and it was fun to do so.  I couldn't let them go off into the sunset without making a card for their last challenge - cozy.

Also recently closed is the stamp company Reverse Confetti.  I used their Christmas Candles for my card, gold heat embossing and layering the candle with greens stamped (and colored) in CP Spruce.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts. 

Thank you for 10 years of fun challenges, Melissa, and good luck with your new adventures.  Kudos to your design teams, present and past, for inspiring us to make CAS cards.

CASology #366

I haven't played at CASology in a while but their cue card (Zodiac) and some of the Design Team members cards pushed me to make my own.
My birthday is in July and since Leo is my astrological sign I used this one from Clearly Besotted for my card.  He's colored with PolyChromos with a little black glaze pen for his eyes and nose.  The birthday part of the sentiment is also CB and the July is from MCS (OOB).

I'm honored to be guest designing at CASology this week and it's all because of my win with this card. 

This is the cue word and I had an immediate idea on what to do.  That's not always the case and even more so when you add the pressure of guest designing.  I lucked out.

The basketball (colored with Zigs) and the sentiment are from Sunny Studios and the dotted line from PTI. 

How would you portray the cue word?  The CASology team would like to see your card in their gallery.

I'm trying to use some of my older stamps and found a perfect one for the CASology challenge - bouquet.

Two irises do a bouquet make, right?  They're from PB, colored with Inktense pencils. The sentiment is also from PB stamped with the new purple from Altenew.

It's a new year and my head is bubbling over with card ideas.  I just have to make sure to keep the challenge deadlines straight once I get a number of cards done all at once.  Tiny post-it notes come in handy believe me.  Today's card is for CASology and their cue word "Fresh".

Trying to eat more healthy in the new year, the first thing that came to mind is fresh fruit and these Sunny Studio fruits look so realistic.  I added a sentiment from MFT to ground them,

The dark waxy leaves and bright red berries make holly such a beautiful holiday decoration.  CASology has holly as their challenge this week.

I used this one from EbyE, white heat embossing it on watercolor paper and coloring it with Distress Inks.
