Color Throwdown #759, Tic Tac Toe #225 and The Male Room #178

I started with the colors of Color Throwdown, used leaves for The Male Room and combined the card works for Tic Tac Toe diagonally from left to right. 

The leaves from HoneyBee's Fall Foliage were inked with Distress Inks in Crackling Campfire, Lumberjack Plaid and Aged Mahogany.  The little pod was done with Aged Mahogany and the top layer cut from gold.  After arranging them on Altenew's Spicy Yogurt paper, I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Hero Arts and inked the strip with Crackling Campfire.  

I love the deep rich color.  With the cold nights we have had lately we may soon be seeing our leaves turn this color.  The changing colors are beautiful but I'm not quite ready for it to happen yet. It means winter is not far behind.

The Male Room #172

I combined an older stamp (which I said I was going to start using more) with the need for masculine cards to make a card for The Male Room.  They have a sketch this time. 

While this looks black it's actually In the Navy from GinaK.  The gold heat embossed image is Geo Builders from Catherine Pooler back when she did Stamp of Approval kits and is no longer available and neither is the sentiment from SSS.

Color Hues #57 and The Male Room #171

Sage and Coral.  Those are the colors for Color Hues and the first thing I thought of was the Mega Succulent from Altenew that came to me through a friend's purge. 

I started by smooshing CP Sage ink on a watercolor panel, then heat embossed the succulent in white.  The edges were painted with Abandon Coral DI and more color added with Bundled Sage Distress Spray. The sentiment from Neat and Tangled was stamped in Bundled Sage Oxide ink.  

That was actually my second attempt.  I wasn't crazy about the first try but didn't want it to go to waste so I made some adjustments and made this card for The Male Room.  They want masculine cards featuring nature.

This time it was embossed in black and watercolored with Distress Inks. The offending part of the image was the outside edge so I fussy cut it off and foam mounted the center portion on black.  A scrap of sage paper was heat embossed in black with the Hero Arts sentiment and the edges rounded with a corner chomper.
