The Paper Players #782

It's clean and simple time at The Paper Players and Christy wants to see baby animals.  I mean who doesn't love baby animals.

I immediately thought of my old WPlus9 set called Unforgettable.  I stamped and masked to get a soft blue sky and then colored the images with Ohuhu markers, adding Glossy Accents to the balloon.  We have a lot of young greats that this card could go to.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me.

Addicted to CAS #140

Doni picked this as her code word this week.
I don't often make baby cards but I got some stamps and dies in a bundle that I bought from my friend Lynn and they came in handy for this challenge at Addicted to CAS.  I actually have two cards to show you because I wasn't thinking straight and my first card wasn't CAS.  That's important for you to remember.  This is a clean and simple challenge and your cards must reflect that.

I'll show you what I made first so you can see how you can take a not so CAS card and make it one using the same elements.
I started with the little onesie die cut in white.  I knew I wanted to use the little elephant on the front so I went looking for some gray paper and because I wanted a gender neutral card I added yellow to the mix.  I cut a scalloped panel from each with a MFT die and then found the polka dot paper to pull it all together.  Darling card IMHO but not CAS.  Here's how I changed it.
Same color combination but this time I placed the onesie on a plain yellow background that I ran through a quilted embossing folder.  The same scallop die in gray holds a different sentiment on a white panel cut to fit inside the stitching lines.  Now I have two cards to choose from.

The Design Team has some darling baby cards to show you and we hope you'll make one and enter it in the gallery.  The winner will be awarded a $20 GC to the Happy Little Stamper store.

Fusion - Baby's Room

It's been a while since I've entered a Fusion challenge but once I saw this darling baby's room I knew I had just the right stamp to make a card.
I had to have the cute little elephants from WPlus9 and it's been a while since I've used them too.
I first inked the Smoke cs with HA Unicorn white through a SSS stencil.  PTI's Polaroid die was used for the background, embossing the center square to look like crib slats.  The elephant and balloon are colored with Zigs and popped up.

After I finished this I ran across a piece of gray cardstock flock with little white polka dots but I decided to keep with what I had.  I just need to remember that paper for a future project.

Thanks for dropping by.  Enjoy your day.

Fusion (Pretty In Pink) and HLS CAS(E) the Designer

Oh, no.  These are the last two cards I have ready to go.  I'd better get busy before some of the challenges I have ideas for close.

Ideas for the Fusion challenge came to me immediately, resulting in this card.
The back layer is embossing folder stamping with HA Navy ink.  The next layer is a new HA stencil with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.  The flower is from W & W, white embossed and watercolored with Spun Sugar.  I think you can tell what inspired me.  Now that I'm looking at this on screen, I could have adjusted the design a bit and did an actual fusion.
The designer to CAS(E) at Happy Little Stampers is the talented Shona Chambers who made this delightful card.
I pretty much copied her design using a different elephant and background color and stamp.
My elephant from WPlus9 is colored with Distress Ink.  The background image is from Casual Fridays exclusively for Stamp of Approval and the sentiment is from HLS Butterfly Birthday.

Well it looks like the storm is coming in.  It's 11 am EST and in the last 15 minutes the ground is lightly covered.  I hope the 8-12 inches they are predicting doesn't happen but if so, I guess I'll get more crafting done.

Stay safe out there and thanks for dropping by.

Tag You're It! #38

Today is my first post as a member of the Tag You're It! Design Team. Tracey has a darling tag for our inspiration and I pretty much CASEd it.  Here's Tracey's.

And mine.
I used a set from WPlus9 and my Zigs on Bristol board with a little Glossy Accents for shine.  Why not head over to Tag You're It! and see what the rest of the DT has for your inspiration and then join in the challenge.  We'd love to see you there.
