Welcome Little Ones

It's baby boy season in our family and so I got busy making baby cards and thought I'd share them with you today.  I found some fun Lawn Fawn paper and made these for my husband's great grandson and great great grandson and my great nephew, respectively.

The little onesie is from Frantic Stamper and the sentiment is from an unbranded set both of which I got from a friend years ago.  All babies and mothers are doing well except for the great grandson who was born too early and is still in the NICU.  He should be coming home soon.

Thanks for dropping by.

Just Us Girls #694 - CAS Week

It's CAS Week at Just Us Girls and our host Sue wants to see a baby themed card.

I don't have a need for baby cards and I only have one die that works for one.  Now that I think of it I guess I could have done something with baby critters but I don't have many of those either.

For this card I cut the Frantic Stamper onesie from some light green cardstock, added the little duck and stamped the sentiment (unbranded) on a panel cut with a Neat and Tangled scallop die.  Can't get much cleaner and simpler than this.

The Design Team and our guest Greta have some cute baby cards for you to get inspired by.  We hope to see you in our gallery.

Edited to add:  Design Team member of both Just Us Girls and Inkspirational encouraged me to add my onesie to their "Clothes/Closet" challenge.  Thanks, Carol.

Time Out #200

This is my second post of the day.  I went to Time Out to check the deadline and it's a good thing I did because it's tomorrow but I'm not sure of what time and I don't want to miss it.  I had a special card ready and was just waiting to post it.

Meet the reason for the card.  My new great-grandson Carson James, born November 9.  Here he is with big brother Connor.

Notice the color of his sleeper?  It was my inspiration for this card.

The onesie die is from Frantic Stamper, the heart coverplate from Honey Bee and the sentiment unmarked. This will accompany the quilt I made for him when I get to see him in person after Thanksgiving.  I can't wait to snuggle that precious bundle of joy.

Addicted to CAS #140

Doni picked this as her code word this week.
I don't often make baby cards but I got some stamps and dies in a bundle that I bought from my friend Lynn and they came in handy for this challenge at Addicted to CAS.  I actually have two cards to show you because I wasn't thinking straight and my first card wasn't CAS.  That's important for you to remember.  This is a clean and simple challenge and your cards must reflect that.

I'll show you what I made first so you can see how you can take a not so CAS card and make it one using the same elements.
I started with the little onesie die cut in white.  I knew I wanted to use the little elephant on the front so I went looking for some gray paper and because I wanted a gender neutral card I added yellow to the mix.  I cut a scalloped panel from each with a MFT die and then found the polka dot paper to pull it all together.  Darling card IMHO but not CAS.  Here's how I changed it.
Same color combination but this time I placed the onesie on a plain yellow background that I ran through a quilted embossing folder.  The same scallop die in gray holds a different sentiment on a white panel cut to fit inside the stitching lines.  Now I have two cards to choose from.

The Design Team has some darling baby cards to show you and we hope you'll make one and enter it in the gallery.  The winner will be awarded a $20 GC to the Happy Little Stamper store.
