Freshly Made Sketches #643 and NBUS #64

I was honored with a win at Freshly Made Sketches last week and was compelled to make another fun card for this week's challenge.

I recently got the Tropical Friends dies from Spellbinders and those darling birds have been wanting to show off.  I'm featuring the parrot here but his toucan friend will be making his debut soon.  All the dies are from the set.  The Leafy background is also Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Your Next Stamp.

New products mean that my card is also going to Darnell's NBUS challenge.

Time Out #235

It's time for another challenge at Time Out  and we want you to be inspired by this photo.

Here's a larger image so you can see the detail and get a better idea of what you can use to make a card.

Of course my eye went directly to the bicycle.

I started with the background, masking off the road to make the sky with MFT's cloud stencil.  The bike from SSS's Beautiful Ride is colored with artist markers.  For color I added some balloons from Simon's Big Birthday Wishes.  I wish the balloons had a black outline but those were the only ones I had that didn't overpower the bike. lol  I thought the sentiment from Your Next Stamp fit the card well.

The Paper Players #547 and NBUS #28

I haven't played at The Paper Players for a while and I thought their sketch was a great one for my NBUS HoneyBee Coneflower die. 

I used CP inks to blend color on the petals (Altenew for the cone) and glued them only at the center.  A WF panel was cut from kraft paper, inked around the edge with the same brown and stamped with a sentiment from Sunny Studio.  I can't wait to ink this flower up in other colors.
