AAA Cards #188

I like a challenge.  And by that I mean a real challenge, where you have to do something more difficult.  AAA Cards has a good one for us this week.  Use only a 1 inch strip and that includes the sentiment.

The MFT giraffe and sentiment were a gift from a friend a long time ago and has been rarely used.  How perfectly do both he and the sentiment fit on that masked off strip that's been inked with Distress Inks with a few stenciled leaves.

I was honored to have my card for their last challenge picked as one of their top three.  Thanks so much AAA Cards for the fun challenges.  I hope you'll go check them out.

AAA Cards #148

AAA  Cards has a sketch for us this time with the optional twist of a critter.  This is what I came up with.
Michele gave me the MFT giraffe stamp set and I thought his tall skinny shape would work good with the sketch that I turned sideways.  I masked off the strip and blended Bundled Sage Distress Ink.  When dry I added the leaf stencil from PTI in Peeled Paint, also using it to ground the critter.
Thanks for dropping by.

Tag You're It! #93

The new Tag You're It! challenge is "Bookmarks".  I don't have any kind of book or reading stamps so I opted to make a bookmark.
I used the C9 bags and tags die to make my bookmark from Bristol and then stamped it with the little giraffe from CB.  After masking him, the background was inked with DOX.  He was colored with Zigs as were some branches from Altenew.

Why not check out how our TYI! Design Team was inspired by this challenge and then enter it yourself.  We'd love to see you there.

Addicted to Stamps and More #259

My great-granddaughter will be two on Friday and I made this CAS card for her birthday.  You can see it again at Addicted to Stamps and More along with those my Design Team-mates have made.

The card base is Spicy Yogurt from Altenew to give a little color and texture to the background.  The Memory Box scalloped 'word pop' (their words, not mine) cut my computer generated sentiment. The little giraffe is from CB, colored with Distress Inks and Yes! he's on a wobble.  What little kid doesn't like a wobbly animal on their birthday card?  I know Hannah will love it.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you'll be making a Clean and Simple card to enter in our gallery. You can find the definition of CAS on the blog.

Tag You're It! Reminder

There's still time to play in challenge # 38 at Tag You're It!  Tracey has a darling little tag for you to be inspired by.

I made another tag with a cute little animal to inspire you more.

The giraffe is from Clearly Besotted, colored with Inktense pencils.  The leaves from PTI are watercolored with DI.  If you haven't already, stop by the Tag You're It! blog and check out what the other DT members have done. Maybe you'll be inspired to take on the challenge.

How many times can I use the word 'inspire' in one blog post? ;)
