The Flower Challenge #55

The new challenge at The Flower Challenge is up and we're looking for your prettiest pastel flowers.

We are being sponsored by Varadashma.com with a gift code of $10 for digital stamps in her shop.  They have provided some of the team with digital stamps to use.

Our Guest Designer this month is Keia from 'confessionsofapaperholic' who was our winner for December. Please be sure to check out her blog/Instagram.

Now for my card.  I took a number of Altenew stamps with me when I went south for the winter and spent an afternoon playing with some of the layering stamps.  I've combined a number of them on one card.
I hope you will check out what the Design Team has made for this challenge and let them inspire you to make a card using pastels.  Remember that flowers must be the focal point.

CAS(E) This Sketch #258

Sketch challenges are one of my favorites and I love playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch.  This is the sketch for this week.
It was like a lightning bolt hit when I thought of the idea for my card.
I've long neglected the PTI Garden Gate set (that I HAD to have) and those hollyhocks seemed like the perfect image for my card.  A little grass die from MCS (closed) and a sentiment from HA grounds them.

Stately flowers hollyhocks are but I remember making dancing ladies out of their blossoms.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope flowers bring fond memories for you.

Merry Monday #275

I'm still getting a handle on my Christmas cards with another one for Merry Monday.  This week it's pastels.
Altenew Ink was used to stamp the poinsettia from Sunny Studio.  The third layer is silver heat embossed as is the sentiment.  Too bad it doesn't show up in my photo.

I'm glad you dropped by.  I love it when you do.

CAS(E) This Sketch #250

I had some NBUS stamps just waiting for a challenge and CAS(E) This Sketch was it.
These are the WPlus9 petunias.  Don't ask what I stamped them in because I was smart enough to write the colors on the back of the paper, and dumb enough to die cut the paper into the flowers.  Ack!!  I've tried to recreate it and came close but no cigar.

It's snowing up a storm here so I have a feeling we'll be hibernating for a few days.  That will give me a chance to get some of January's DT cards ready.

Thanks for dropping by.  Keep warm if you are in the cold zone and stay safe wherever you are.

Time Out #95, Less Is More #352 and CAS on Sunday #119

It's not often I have a card that fits three challenges so I'm feeling pretty good about this one.  It started as a sympathy card for Time Out (and I did use the optional twist of distressing). The flowers are layered stamps so that works for Less Is More and CAS on Sunday wants flowers.  Win, win.

I distressed the Cricut cut frame so it would show up a little more before realizing that was the Time Out twist. Serendipity I'd say. ;)  I love these roses from WPlus9.  They have four layers that are so easy to line up.  I did add a few dew drops to them just because I could.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your week is off to a great start.
