PFS Create and Connect Class 3

I wasn't able to do the Create and Connect by Pinkfresh Studio in August as scheduled so I've just been doing the classes a bit at a time.  TK posted two cards yesterday and encouraged me to post mine.

The class was taught by Heather Hoffman and included two cards using the Majestic Mountains stencils and Trees dies.

Also included in the kit was the Dotted Fancy Frames.   First you stencil the trees and hills on an A2 size panel that is then cut with the die.  The card base was lightly inked with blue and the sentiment from another set in the kit was added.   The hills and trees were arranged behind the die cut frame and then popped up on the base.

This card used the mountain stencils which includes the stream, clouds, birds and sun.  The panel was cut with the largest frame and popped up on the base.  The trees were white in the directions but I lightly inked them with green after die cutting.  I left off a sentiment.  I love TK's blue and purple mountains and want to try that next time.

There are so many more goodies in the kit that I need to get to.  But first I need to watch the videos.  The other instructors include Lea Lawson, Dawn Woleslagle, Kim Kesti, Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire.  Stay tuned for more cards from these products.

Time Out #211

It's a photo challenge at Time Out and what a serene scene it is.

I immediatlely thought of my old Penny Black stamp and created the background for it to rest on.

The background was colored with Distress Inks, using an MFT stencil for the clouds and a handcut paper stencil for the mountains.  There are three mountains but they're not very visible after stamping the trees with many layers of Onyx Black. The panel was mounted on black and then on light blue.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday - another oldie.

It's raining here so it's a good day to hunker down in my craft studio and get more cards made.  Will you have any crafty time today?
