Just Us Girls #677 - Wild Card Week

It's the fifth Saturday so according to custom it's Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls.  Our host Vicki has chosen "CASE a Design Team Member."

That means you should choose a card from any of the designers on the blog and make a card based on their design.  Here is my card should you choose to CASE it.

The black-eyed Susans from SSS are stamped on Bristol and colored with Zigs.  The panel was cut with The Greetery's Crimped Frames, splattered with Wild Honey DI and layered on yellow cs. The heat embossed sentiment is from The Ton.

I have to say goodbye to Joanne James who has been an incredible guest designer this month.  It was so great having you with us, Joanne.

I hope you will be inspired by the Design Team to make a card for the challenge.  We'd love to see you there.

Just Us Girls #638 - Photo Week

VIcki has a real tropical photo for us at Just Us Girls this week.

There are a lot of different things that could inspire a card so I hope you'll join in the challlenge. I combined a number of images to make my card.

I started with Polynesian Paradise by My Favorite Things.  The hibiscus and pineapple were randomly stamped and lightly watercolored to make a background.  The littlel hula dancer was colored with with Altenew Artist markers and a few Copics.  To ground her and make her stand out from the background, I cut a dome from Waffle Flower, colored it with Distress Ink and added the sentiment from the set.  For the piece de resistance, she's on an action wobble.  I mean a dancer has to dance. 😁

Our guest designer Lucie G and the rest of the Design Team have some wonderful cards to show you, hoping to encourage you to make a card for the gallery.

Edited to Add:  Now that I've seen the Time Out challenge, I want to send my card over there.  Plus I was an HM at their last challenge so I'm obligated. ;)

Just Us Girls #607 - Photo Week

Cecile is our host for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and she has this delightful picture to inspire us.

Need a close up?

There are so many ways to go with this but I knew my Gerda Steiner fox would be the focal point.

I made his forest with a TH die placed on cardstock inked with Hickory Smoke DI.  I also used some of the ink to dry brush the edges of the trees.   Foxy was colored with Rusty Hinge and for the sentiment from Dare to be Artzy I made a rock.  Or should I say boulder?

What grabs your interest in the photo?  I hope you'll be inspired by the Design Team and our guest Nora Noll to make a card for the gallery.

Time Out #184

These is the quote for 'Inspired By Words' at Time Out.

Because I have so many flower stamps the part that grabbed my attention was 'garden'.  I was waiting for my stamp set from Waffle Flower to arrive so I could make my own paper garden.
I colored it with Distress Inks on watercolor paper and added a sentiment from The Ton.

Because this is a NBUS stamp I'm sending my card over there too.
