Addicted to Stamps and More #300

Well Happy Birthday! to Addicted to Stamps and More, and may the run continue.  That's right people.  It's the 300th challenge and 6th birthday of this wonderful challenge.
Link up a birthday card and you have a chance for a prize from Happy Little Stampers.  Here's my card.
I pulled out my rarely used Winnie and Walter stamps to make a party card.  Lots of streamers and ribbons and confetti.  The white was cut with a die from Frantic Stamper and popped up with fun foam.  The yellow on the bottom is new to me from Gina K and is really more like the yellow in the streamers.  I stamped it with a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers.

Now it's up to you.  Check out the wonderful cards from the Design Team and then make one of your own.  We'd love to see you in the gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More #195

It's photo week at Addicted to Stamps and More.  Doesn't this look like a party waiting to happen?  There are so many elements that you can use for your inspiration.

I went with the wonky cake from Sugar Pea Designs, bringing in the red and white stripes, the aqua and the polka dots.  The banners are from the same set as is the sentiment.  Both panels are cut with LF stitched rectangles with the top one popped up on foam.

You'll find a lot more inspiration over on the challenge blog and if you enter a card you have a chance to win some prizes.  Robyn's Fetishes is awarding three digital stamps from their store
and QKR Stampede are offering three digital stamps from their store.
We hope to see you in the gallery.

Less is More 263 and Just Us Girls #330

I haven't played along at Less is More and Just Us Girls in a while so I sat down today to make that happen.  Up first is Less Is More - one layer with a stem.  I'm not particularly good with one layer cards but I do like this one.
I used Inktense pencils to color this flower by HA.  I wanted something else and remembered the MFT line embossers that I got as a free gift with an order a while back.  The cross stitch worked well to add a little dimension.

ETA:  Thanks to Sarah, I'm going to also send this card to the Hero Arts challenge - Fabulous Flowers.

Just Us Girls wanted a tag on their cards.
I used the tag for my sentiment from My Craft Spot (no longer in business), coloring in the letters to match the streamers from Sugar Pea Designs, part of the Stamp of Approval box.  I thought all the colors of embroidery thread added to the fun of the card.  One mistake - I should have colored the word 'birthday' in a lighter color.  You can read it on the card but it's difficult to see on screen.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more cards to post but I've set the day aside to begin work on my third quilt.  I definitely need to get my desk cleaned up tonight so I have room to work.  Unless I get an inspiration for another card.  In that case, I'll clean up in the morning. ;)

CAS(E) This Sketch #158

I got my Stamp of Approval box from Catherine Pooler the other day and was anxious to make something with it.  There were so many good birthday stamps and dies in it but I picked some that I could use for CAS(E) This Sketch.
I hope it's okay that I went with a circle instead of an oval for my focal point.  I tried to squish that sentiment circle into an oval but it kept fighting me and it finally won.
Now that my valentines are done and in the mail, I hope to further explore the contents of the kit.  Stay tuned for more birthday cards.
