Freshly Made Sketches #677 and Love Those Pretty Papers

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches gave me an opportunity to use some paper I bought quite a while ago after seeing someone make a lovely card with it and there it sat.  Since I'm finally using that patterned paper, I'm also sending my card to Love Those Pretty Papers. 

The paper is from The Paper Studio and called Eucalyptus.  It went well with C9s Tidepool that is embossed with SU Ferns.  The rectangles are popped up and adorned with one of the TH Wildflowers cut in dark gray, the same color that the heat embossed sentiment from Altenew was on.

Freshly Made Sketches #618

Cecile always makes such beautiful and graphic CAS cards and her sketch at Freshly Made Sketches exemplifies that.  Mine might not be quite as CAS but I hope it meets with her approval.

For the background I used an old die from Paper Smooches, cutting it in Desert Storm cardstock.  The wildflower is from Tim Holtz colored with Distress Ink in Seedless Preserves and Bundled Sage, with a little leftovers on my mini brushes for shading.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts, stamped in Seedless Preserves.

Freshly Made Sketches #590

A lot of times when I get an idea for a sketch challenge I see some of the design team has the same idea.  Then it's back to the drawing board for me.  It happened when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches but a quick look at my limited stash sparked this card.

The lacy stripes were cut with a Spellbinders die.  The TH Wildflower had been colored previously but I layered it 3 times and found some cardstock that went with it to back the lace.  The sentiment is from Altenew.
