Inspired By #148

The photo inspiration at Inspired By really drew me in.

I'm looking for some architectural windows like that for my bedroom.  In lieu of that, I recreated one from paper.

I bought the chicken wire die from Kat Scrappiness quite a while ago and thought it was perfect to put in between layers of the WF dome die.  I cut two of the leafy branches and added some metallic paint to the edges of the leaves and on the branches to give it some pizazz although it doesn't show in the photo. The CP word die is triple layered in Canyon Clay cs.

I'm thankful you took time to drop by.

Just Us Girls #548 - Trend Week

I get to be your host this week at Just Us Girls and for Trend Week I have chosen this:
Notice I added a disclaimer.  Any window opening on your card will do.
I used the dome die from Waffle Flower to show off my wonderful Canterbury Bells from Altenew. The background was inked with Broken China DI and the window popped up with foam.

Our guest designer Lisa Elton and the rest of the Design Team have some lovely window cards for your inspiration.  Hop on over to take a peek and then make a card for our gallery.  We'd love to see you there.

Merry Monday #276

So far I think I've only missed one Merry Monday challenge but then it's only six weeks into the new year. :)  This week is a photo challenge.
I was inspired by the frosty window and pine boughs.
Instead of just frosting the window panes, I made a shaker card.  When I reached for a bottle of glitter I found out it was micro beads which was even better.  I know the Christmas tree is a little hidden but if I had my tree in a window it would be centered and so this one is.  The TH boughs were heat embossed with Sparkling Snow and the sentiment from PTI is stamped with Altenew Evergreen.

This is the first shaker I've made in a while and I must say that the Scor-Tape worked beautifully to hold it all together.  Much better than the glue I had been using.  Instead of foam strips, I used extra thick fun foam which is a good depth, at least for these beads.

Thanks for taking a peek through my window.

Merry Monday #269

I'm running late with my card for Merry Monday.  I quickly made it last night and am posting before church this morning.  It's a color challenge.
Stamps from Neat and Tangled, inks from Altenew, aperture from Pretty Pink Posh.  The tree is silver embossed and the ornaments clear embossed for shine you can't see here.  Maybe this photo is better.
I did this in remembrance of the aluminum trees back in the day.

Thank you so much for dropping by.  I love it when you do.

Merry Monday #266

The Merry Monday challenge wants to see Santa on our cards.  I only have two Santa stamps.  One is tiny to fit in a snow globe and the other one is on my card.
He's peeking through the window to see if everyone is in bed.  Actually it looks like he's tapping on the window.  I hope he doesn't wake the children.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.
