Just Us Girls #725 - Color Week

I'm the host of Color Week at Just Us Girls.  Here are the colors for you to use on your card.

I must have seen something in those colors that inspired me to choose them but when it came time to make a card I couldn't remember what it was.  No problem.  I had other ideas.

All dies are cut from white paper and colored with a variety of inks  The Coneflowers are Simon Hurley and the rest including the crate are from Honey Bee.  The background is a brick folder from Alltenew.

The Design Team and our guest have lovely cards to show you using the challenge colors.  I hope they inspire you to make a card for the gallery.

Color Hues #84

Hey there!  I'm so glad you dropped by.

The activities of the long weekend put a pause on my card for Color Hues.  It's now finished and ready for you to see.

The challenge colors are peach and green so I took that literally and made peaches from Sunny Studio.  I put them in a crate from Honey Bee and added them to HB's burlap background, trimmed to show the peach border.  I love a good pun and computer-generated this fun sentiment.   It may hang around until next Valentine's Day unless my pun loving granddaughter needs a pick-me-up before then.

Just Us Girls #687 - Word Week

Nancy has a great word for the challenge this week at Just Us Girls.

I was inspired by a card from Kristie Marcotte using all things HoneyBee.

I started with my go to for sand - Frayed Burlap Distress Spray then added Tumbled Glass for the sky.  The seashells are colored with Zigs with part of them loaded into the wooden crate. The sentiment is from their Flippin' Fabulous set.

I can't wait to see what you do with the word of the week.   There is plenty of inspiration from the design team and our guest designer Kristin Sluhon on the blog.

Double D - Fresh Picked & NBUS #50

Double D has a Fresh Picked challenge.  Anything fresh picked except flowers.  Flowers are my 'thing'  but I did have other images I could use. Like these pears.

I recently got the wooden crate from Honey Bee and was anxious to try it out.  I cut it from Linen cs and dragged Distress Ink over it to enhance the wood grain.   The pears are from Sunny Studio and so is the sentiment which I stamped crooked because I wasn't sure I could get it in a straight line, and I rather like it that way.

Since the crate is new I'm sending my card to NBUS #50.

Thanks for dropping by.
