Jingle Belles - Old and New

Stef and Lauren want us to use something old and something new on our cards for Jingle Belles.  Anything to keep my Christmas stash growing.

The holly stamp is an old one from Ellen Hutson (oob) that I watercolored with Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Barn Door and Scorched Timber. I gave the panel a little splatter using Altenew Spray with a paint brush and added a layered WF frame from SB Treasure Black Metallic. Sorry you can't see the shine in the photo. My 'new' is the sentiment die from TH Holiday Collection, cut in SB Ruby Matte Metallic.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a little of your day with me.  If you are in the throes of the storm, please stay safe and warm.

Merry Christmas to All!

I have a number of cards I made that never got posted so I thought I'd put some of them here today to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I made several using Penny Black's Immense Joy and other PB images.

I like the JOY so much I got NOEL too.

If you need the particulars of any image or design feature, just let me know.

Have a wonderful holiday!

Freshly Made Sketches #666

I hadn't played with Stump, Twig, Breezy and Chilly at all this year so I brought them out for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

Actually Twig had to stay home since he was too tall for the card.  I wasn't sure how to fit a sentiment on the card until I took a lesson from my daughter who had her grandchildren hold letters for her Christmas card.  Mine are Memory Box cut from silver glitter.  The background was masked, colored with Stormy Sky Distress Ink and splattered.

Thanks for dropping by.

Color Hues #8

Green and blue.  What to do?  This is my card for Color Hues.  I just hope silver is considered a neutral.

I started with the pine boughs from The Greetery and wanted to hang an ornament from SSS.  I cut it from blue foil and added a silver top and star.  It looked a little bare but the Stitched Rays background from Reverse Confetti fell right into place behind the ornament.  A word die from TH in the same foil balanced it out.

The holidays are getting closer.  I hope you all have things ready to go and aren't stressing out.  It's a time of hope and peace and joy and love.  And that's my wish for you.

Merry Monday #230

Merry Monday mixed it up and asked for Scandinavian and/or Noel on your Christmas card.  Of course I had to do both.  This will be the card for my son, whom I appropriately named Eric, who embraces his Scandinavian ancestry to the hilt.  His daughters are Anneka and Kjerstin, his dog is Thor and previous pets were named Signy, Freya and Loki.  Fortunately he married a girl with Swedish ancestry too.
I colored my NBUS Santa with Zigs to look like Tomte and put him on a warm embossed sweater.  If I had God Jul dies I would have put it on the card but they asked for Noel so it worked out fine.

Thanks for dropping by.
