CAS Mix-up Challenge - February

Here's the challenge for CAS Mix-up for February.

I had to get out my old, old crimper to make my card but after seeing some of the other cards that have been made with regular corrugated cardboard, and after receiving several boxes from Amazon and ripping off the covering, I wish I'd used it instead.  But I will be saving pieces and may have time to make another card.  Meanwhile I have this one.

I need quite a few masculine birthday cards shortly so I thought this would work well.  The card base is embossed with a birthday folder and I added the tag from MFT.  The platinum embossed sentiment is from PS.  That means I stamped, heat embossed, dry embossed, die cut, and inked around the edges.

Thanks for dropping by today.

CASology #207 and CAS(E) This Sketch #181

I have 23 minutes to get this card to CAS(E) This Sketch so I'm not saying much.
I combined the sketch with the cue word at CASology (Rough).  I have an old, old crimper and used that to rough up some Desert Storm.  The sentiment is from CASual Fridays, part of an earlier SOA kit.

Thanks for dropping by.

Addicted to Stamps and More #171

The challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps and More is "Anything Goes". That can be easy, or it can be difficult.  I usually like some sort of push to get me started and for this challenge the push was that I need more Thanksgiving cards for the homebound people from my church.

I played around with these pieces and a few more before I was satisfied with the final card.  The image is from PTI Fall Jar, colored with Zigs.  Then I layered Rustic White cs with a scrap of orange print and some kraft paper that I ran through my crimper.  The sentiment from Clearly Besotted was stamped in Rich Cocoa and everything was inked with PTI Classic Kraft.  This is taking me back to my roots as a cardmaker.

What will you make for the "Anything Goes" challenge?  Head on over to Addicted to Stamps and More to see what the Design Team has for inspiration. The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to Deedee's Digis and 5 digis from Rosey Hearts.
