Inspired By All the Little Things #78

These cookies look so beautiful I'd hate to eat them but they did inspire me to make a card for Inspired By All the Little Things.
Zigs were used to color the PB flower that was then fussy cut.  Not my favorite thing to do and I'm not very good at it but even with the tiny stem it came out great thanks to watching videos from Therese Calvird.  She's a champion fussy cutter.  The panel is embossed with a quatrefoil folder and mounted on Smoke cs.  The love sentiment could be either for an anniversary card or a valentine.

Well the snow is back.  I knew it was too good to last.  Ken is shoveling and I'm doing laundry with a little crafting between loads. I'm glad it's not the other way around. ;)

Inspired by All the Little Things #40

Inspired by All the Little Things has lovely photo inspirations and this week was no exception.

I love what I call bittersweet in the background and tried to recreate it along with a dahlia for my card.
I embossed the PB flower in Platinum on Bristol, added a little Rusty Hinge to shade it, fussy cut it and popped it up in the middle to give it some dimension.  The branch and bittersweet (tiny flowers) are from Altenew.  I am in the need for more sympathy cards so I used a sentiment from My Craft Spot (closed) also embossed in platinum.

It's lightly snowing here today and I hope it stays light as I have a luncheon with classmates today and a funeral out of town tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by.  I always love it when you visit.

Altenew January Inspiration Challenge

With all my Altenew stamps it's about time I entered their Inspiration Challenge.  Here's the photo they offered.
And my card.
I just got the Adore You set and stamped several of the smaller flowers in Fossilized Amber DI.  I fussy cut them along with a couple of berries? from Golden Garden.  I arranged them on polka dot paper, popping some of them up, and added a sentiment from PTI embossed in white on Chocolate.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your week is off to a great start.

Addicted to CAS #89

Since daisies are one of my favorite flowers, I just HAD to order the ones from Altenew and then I had to try them out right away.  The challenge at Addicted to CAS is the perfect place to debut them.

I printed the sentiment on the computer and then stamped the daisy in Evening Gray and colored the center with Inktense pencils.  I stamped again and cut some petals and mounted them on foam tape to fall down the card.
I'm glad you dropped by.  Have a wonderful week.

Addicted to CAS #93 and The Challenge #63

Busy day today so I want to post this card before I forget and the deadline runs out.
The code word at Addicted to CAS is

and the sketch for The Challenge looks like this.
I combined the two with some W & W stamps,
a TH stencil and Candied Apple DI.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Addicted to CAS #81, Winnie and Walter Floral, and Muse #153

I have a couple of beautiful florals for you today, if I do say so myself.  Up first is a card for Addicted to CAS (cue word Bloom) and Winnie & Walter's Floral challenge.  It's their second birthday and they have a ton of wonderful challenges to celebrate the occasion.
I wanted to try the Distress Ink lifting that Jennifer McGuire showed here and thought this beautiful hydrangea from Addie's Garden would be the perfect flower to use.  Now I must say that troubles abound in finishing the card and I'm so glad the bloom was fussy cut so I didn't have to redo it. Even using my Misti, I had problems stamping the sentiment next to the leaf.  I finally cut the panel down and around the leaf and kept stamping until I got a good impression.  I popped that panel up and added a strip of some previously inked paper to the left side to carry the color over.

Keeping with the floral theme, I made a card for the Muse challenge featuring this card by Tracey  McNeely.
I was inspired by the three varying colored flowers in the lower left corner.
I tried the ink lifting technique again on these Tim Holtz flowers but it didn't work as well on the lighter colors.  The sentiment is from SSS.

I'm so glad you dropped by.

Addicted to Stamps and More #177

It's time for the Make Your Mark challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.  This means you can use markers, ink, pencils, paint, Zigs, whatever you want to make your card.  Easy right?  And the winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Happy Little Stamper Store.  I have a card to inspire you but don't forget to check out the blog for more inspiration from the talented Design Team.
I stamped the flowers from Penny Black on each corner, colored them with Distress Ink, fussy cut around the outside edges and popped the panel up on some Sweet Blush cs.  The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.

I hope to see your card in the gallery this week.
