Time Out #231

Welcome to Time Out. This is photo inspiration week and we challenge you to CASE the Designer.

And the designer is none other than the fabulous Gina K.  What about her card inspires you?  I went quite literal.

The stack of presents (and I say 'stack' because it's from Concord and 9th's Birthday Stacks) was heat embossed in white and then colored with Distress Inks.  And what is a Gina K card without a black frame?

Gina is offering a $25 store credit to the winner of the challenge so you'd better get busy and make a card based on her design.  We can't wait to see how you are inspired.

Christmas Craft Creations - Snippets

I'm still working on Christmas cards.  This is the second one I've posted this week and it's for Christmas Craft Creations.  They want you to use your snippets and who doesn't have a lot of those.

This paper pack is from 2013 and I don't know why I bought it.  It has a lot of brown and darker Christmas colors in it.  I want to use it up so took the scraps to make these gifts from the layered boxes from Waffle Flower.  PTI's Rustic Cream was used for the card base to go with the rather rustic look of the paper.  The sentiment is from Penny Black.

While I had the scraps out, I made a second card - different orientation.

I can see using this die set for presents for both Christmas and birthdays.

Thanks for dropping by.  Please leave a comment so I know you were here.

AAA Cards #138 and Seize the Birthday #183

You know me.  I almost always do the option but at AAA Cards the option is sewing and because I use my machine for actual sewing I'm afraid to mess it up working on paper.  So here's my 'Along the Edge' card minus the option.
I used the C9 Birthday Stacks, adding a present on either end to fill out the bottom of my card.  Then I picked a variety of Altenew Inks to color them in.  It was so easy to line up that stamp that I actually amazed myself and did it right the first time.

Seize the Birthday is having an 'Anything Goes' challenge this time so off this card goes to them too.

Thanks for dropping by.

Just Us Girls #468 - Photo Week

This will be the last post for Just Us Girls until January so we can take a holiday break.  Lisa has chosen a great holiday photo for your inspiration.
My first thought was presents and used a stamp from W&W for my card.
I stamped, masked and gold heat embossed a tower of beribboned gifts, coloring the bows with Distress Ink and adding a little colored pencil for shading.

I want to thank Claire Garland for being such a great guest designer this month.  If you are chosen our Chic of the Week, you could be our guest in January.

We hope to see you in the gallery this week and then back with us on January 5, 2019.

Addicted to CAS #149

This will be the last Addicted to CAS post until January 5 so the Design Team can take a holiday break.  Susan has chosen "presents" for this week's challenge.  I saw a cute card and decided to CASE it but for the life of me I can't find the card now to give credit to the designer.
The gift stamp is from EbyE's Bear Ware, colored with Distress Ink.  The sentiment from PB is popped up on a die cut from LF.

The winner of this challenge will receive a $20 GC to the Happy Little Stamper store.

I hope you'll check out the rest of the Design Team's cards and make a CAS card to enter in the gallery.

Time Out #99

The new year is fast approaching and Time Out has a great challenge for us.
I challenged myself to use the optional twist.  It took a while to find a stamp that would work.
You might think that I used a birthday stamp set but these packages come from SSS's Presents and Ornaments.

My apple pie is done and the pumpkin one is in the oven.  We leave this afternoon for my son's where my entire family will meet for our Christmas celebration.  I can hardly wait.  We always have so much fun together.

Thanks for spending a little of your time with me.

Merry Monday #223

I'll be off to Thanksgiving dinner with my son and his family shortly but I wanted to wish all those who are celebrating a wonderful day of giving thanks for their many blessings.  Even if you don't celebrate this holiday, I wish you all the blessings your heart can hold.

Merry Monday has a color challenge this week - dark blue, light blue and pink.
I colored the elf and gifts from MFT with Distress Ink in the required colors with a little gray and WOS thrown in for good measure.  I haven't used this stamp nearly enough so I may play with him a little more this next week.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for taking time out of your busy day to drop by.

Addicted to CAS #93 and The Challenge #63

Busy day today so I want to post this card before I forget and the deadline runs out.
The code word at Addicted to CAS is

and the sketch for The Challenge looks like this.
I combined the two with some W & W stamps,
a TH stencil and Candied Apple DI.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Freshly Made #209

Here I go again, getting literal with a challenge inspiration.  This time it's the sketch for Freshly Made Sketches.
Trim the Tree from MFT found it's way to my house so I just had to use it for this challenge.
I added some sparkle embossing powder to the star and Distress Marker dots to the tree, which is popped up on foam.  Some colorful presents with silver bows and a sentiment from HLS was all I needed to finish it up.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.
