Addicted to CAS #169

We have a fun one for you this week at Addicted to CAS.

At least I thought it was fun and I'm sure Toni did too when she chose it as our code word.  This is what I did with it.

He's from Your Next Stamp, colored with PolyChromos pencils and covered with google eyes.  The window die is from EBE and the sentiment is computer generated.

Less Is More #351

What could be more fun than creating monster cards?  They're good for Halloween but I made mine a birthday card instead.  Here he comes Less is More.

Isn't he delightful?  Painted with Zigs and real eyes, he jumps right out of that Polaroid frame.

Addicted to CAS #100

I quickly made a card for the challenge at Addicted to CAS when I saw their cue word and knew I had a monster stamp set from YNS.

They're stamped on Bristol board and colored with Zigs with GA on the eyes. Time's a wastin'.  Gotta go link this up.  Thanks for dropping by.

AAA #67 and Less Is More # 282

I actually had to go out a buy googly eyes for the challenge at AAA.  I only did that because I knew they'd look cute on my monster stamp.  What do you think?

The monster is from YNS stamped on a wonky cut square and colored with DI.  The background is a stencil from W &  W and sentiment is from the monster set.  This reminds me of a picture of my granddaughter taken a number of years ago.

Kjerstin stuck the googly eyes to her face and then popped up at the foot of her Mom's bed and said "I see you Mommy!"   She's definitely not a monster, just a cutie patootie.

Since I stenciled the background I'm going to send this to Less Is More.  I hope it's CAS enough for them.

CASology #180

It is so frustrating when you know what you want to use for a challenge and you can't find it.  I have my stamps and dies fairly well organized and labeled but once in a while there's that odd one out that gets put somewhere or with something else and you can't remember where.  After a week of searching, I finally found what I wanted for the challenge at CASology - Open.

See that little window tied in the middle of the card?  Those are cut using the illusive dies from Essentials by Ellen.  I bet you can guess what's hiding behind the windows can't you?

That's right.  It's those darling monsters from YNS, colored with Distress Inks.  I hope this is CAS enough.  I got some purple paint on my card front and did a little splatter to cover it up.  I was wishing for a better way to keep the window closed but twine was the best I could think of.

The Challenge #44

The challenge at The Challenge is a birthday card with this photo inspiration:

Birthday cards are easy.  Finding a monster among my stamps impossible.  So, thinking outside the box, I went through some of my dies and came up with this.

Can you guess what I used?  I cut it from foil, did some surgery on it and added glitter circles for the eyes and an I from an alphabet set for the mouth.  A LF speech bubble border contains a PTI 'happy' cut from glitter paper and inset, and a stamped sentiment from CB.  I originally cut my monster from blue but couldn't find a background paper I liked.  I'll keep looking and make a second card, just because I like it so much and can use some children's birthday cards.

Such a Tease

That Mother Nature is such a tease.  It was 77 degrees here today.  Tomorrow it will only get to 54 and even colder on the weekend.  Why does she do that to us?  Make it warm when it's supposed to be warm and cold when it's supposed to be cold, I always say.

It was windy, today, too.  We raked leaves from my parents back door and when we went to pick them up for a soup supper at the church, they were back and brought friends.  There was an up side.  A big fallen branch had been caught in another branch over their garage that was too far up for anyone to reach.  It has been swinging there for over a year but not any more.  Today's wind said "Enough is enough" and down it went without damaging the roof.

I haven't had much time to make cards in the last couple of days but ideas are running through my head thanks to the inspiration from bloggers I follow and design teams on challenge sites.  I did make this card the other day for My Craft Spot - Little Monsters. 

I wasn't even sure I had a monster cut but when I did a search on Design Studio I found this one on my newly purchased B is for Boy.  I just love his many eyes and used Glossy Accents to make them shine.  I even put him on an action wobble.

Someone's going to love getting him for their birthday.
