Just Us Girls #775 - Mood Board Week

Our host Carol M has chosen a very colorful mood board for us this week at Just Us Girls.

I remembered a circle trio shaker window that I got a long time ago from MFT and knew it would be a great way to use the inspiration photo.

I also have the plastic inserts so I cut two rows of three, framed the cuts with silver (part of the die set) and put some ancient sequins inside.  The inserts make shaker cards easy because you don't have to build up walls.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

There are many things you can do with the mood board but if you need inspiration be sure and check out what the Design Team and our guest Rosemary have made.

CAS Christmas - April 2021

It's rainbow time over at CAS Christmas.

I went back and forth about what to do but ended up with this stocking from Concord & 9th.

I colored it with Zigs in rainbow order.  I hope the little touch of brown is okay on the pine cone.  I mean what other color could it be. ;)   Want to see the sentiment?
This is such a fun card to make and I should have done a few more while I had the set out.

Thanks for taking some time out of your day to drop by.

AAA Cards #187

I used to play at AAA Cards frequently but haven't in a while.  They have been having rather unique parameters to their challenges to stretch your ideas for clean and simple cards.  I thought this one would be fun to try.

I got a freebie stamp from Picket Fence a while back and thought the little flowers would look great cascading down my card.

I divided my card into quarters and laid out the images in one corner, turning the cardstock in my MISTI to stamp the opposite corner.  I colored them with Zigs and added a heat embossed sentiment from Penny Black.

I hope this card brings you a little bit of sunshine in case you don't have any where you live.

Just Us Girls #572 - Color Week

What can be happier than rainbow colors on a card?  This week at Just Us Girls, Angie has chosen rainbow for our Color Week challenge.

I took the easy way out and actually made a rainbow.

I used my Taylored Expressions rainbow die to cut all the colors and glued them to a panel embossed with clouds.  I used a sentiment from the set and fussy cut around it to arch over the rainbow.

I can't wait to see what our guest designer Leslie Turner and the Design Team have made with rainbow colors.  Why not check them out and let them inspire you to make a card for the challenge.

CAS(E) This Sketch #370

CAS(E) This Sketch really made me think this week.  I tried a number of things that didn't work out but finally came up with something I like.
I used the PTI harlequin die as a stencil and made a rainbow card.  You all know I send cards to the homebound members of my church and now that we're all rather homebound, I've added a few more names to my list.  Mainly those over 90 who live alone.  I'm also sending them more often so I need a lot of uplifting cards.

I hope all of you wonderful card makers out there are remembering those in isolation and sending cards.

The Card Concept #107

The Card Concept has a scrumptious looking photo for our inspiration and I dug out a stamp I haven't used in a while to make my card.
The wonky cake and sentiment are from Sugar Pea Designs that I got in a Stamp of Approval box from Catherine Pooler three years ago.  I mounted the panel on black and white paper that is even older than that for my clean and layered card.

Thanks for dropping by.
