It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Carol chose this word:
While at Michele's this summer, I stamped one of her darling Penny Black images and decided this was the time to use it.Thursday, November 13, 2025

Just Us Girls #710 - Moodboard Week
Lisa is the host for Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls and this is the board she chose.
There is so much to choose from. Here's a closer look;
I looked the board over thoroughly and thought of a few different things before I found an image already colored in my stash and went with it.
Time Out #255
It's Inspired by Words at Time Out.
I took the first part of the quote- winter solitude, world of one color - and made this:
I made a snowy scene featuring Chilly and Freezy from Tim Holtz. The main items were cut from white with Soft Stone from PTI for the arms, buttons and tree background. A different gray scrap was used for their noses. The snowflakes are from Tim's Twig and Stump set and the hills are a die from SSS.
The sponsor of this challenge is Stamp Simply and they are offering our winner a $25 gift credit. I hope you will check out what the design team has made to inspire you and make a card for our gallery.

Color Throwdown #726
The card I made for Color Throwdown is definitely appropriate for today since we got an abundance of snow last night.

Inspired By #105
Yes, I have an Avery Elle skate die. And a Knitted Pattern embossing folder.
Silver marker is as difficult to photograph as any metallic cardstock or embossing powder. The 'blanket' was cut with a Neat and Tangled die and the sentiment is from MFT.
It feels so good to get back into blogging mode and making cards for challenges. I have to be careful not to overdo but it's all coming back to me.

CAS Watercolor - January
That cute little MFT owl, watercolored with Distress Ink, is sliding down a fabric embossed hill. The sky is also done with DI. See what I mean about the sentiment? You are either having a great time in the snow or are so "over it!" As long as the sun is shining like today I can tolerate it.
Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe and warm if you are in the storm areas.

CASology #326
I colored him with PolyChromos pencils, adding a silver pen to the blades. The sentiment (from My Craft Spot) and snowflakes are embossed with Wanderlust which I also added to the top of the 'ice'. The shine is hard to see on screen but it gives a cold and frozen look.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.

Inspired By #51
This reminds me of the sleds I got for my Greats this year although those were just plastic - a little safer for young ones I think.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that the new year treats you well.

CASology # 230 and The Heart Desires #8
A little Stampendous snow person colored with Zigs on an embossed quilt with the perfect sentiment from My Craft Spot (closed). I think he looks a lot like the snowman on the mood board at The Heart Desires so he's off to their gallery too.
Thanks for dropping by and keep warm.

CAS(E)This Sketch #146
How about a Christmas card?
I guess it's actually a winter card because that's the TH die cut sentiment that would fit. It's cut three times with the top layer in a shimmer paper. The branches are from PTI with a little selective inking. It makes me chilly just thinking of winter. It's been great here so far. I hope it holds off a lot longer.
Thanks for dropping by.
