Freshly Made Sketches #655 and Tic Tac Toe #257

I finally had some inspiration for a couple of challenges and the right stamps/dies to make them.  This one is for Freshly Made Sketches.

The gourds are from Honey Bee's Fall Bounty, cut in white (except the one on the left that was cut from yellow) and colored with a variety of inks.  The background is Altenew Yogurt cardstock embossed with HB's burlap folder.  The sentiment is also HB.

I'm also sending this to Tic Tac Toe, using the top row across - Harvest, Orange, Die Cut.  I hope my one little pumpkin is enough orange to qualify.

Thanks for dropping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #575

I've been going to make some cards with the Altenew cupcake on it and after buying some fun paper the other day, I decided to combine them for the the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

It's a rather busy background but I thought it looked festive.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great weekend.

Freshly Made Sketches # and NBUS #

Judy has a great sketch for us over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I'm way behind on my Christmas cards so that's what I made for the challenge.

I started by heat embossing the SSS Hand Lettered Holiday background stamp in gold on red.  I trimmed the panel and added The Greetery Pine Botanicuts.  No need for a sentiment since the background is full of them. ;)

I'm sending this over to NBUS since this is the first time using the background stamp.

It feels so good to do a little crafting again but I'm still not fully settled into our summer home.  I hope to get more cards made while I'm here.  Besides those Design Team ones that are already done.

Freshly Made Sketches #424

Even though it's cold outside, the sun is shining and it makes me think Spring.  Spring means Easter and since I need a number of Easter cards for our church homebound,  Freshly Made Sketches provided great inspiration.
There is a daffodil and dotted background stamp from Altenew, a sentiment from PTI and Key Lime cardstock from GinaK, all based on this sketch.
Thanks for dropping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches #400

I got home from the lake in time to help Freshly Made Sketches celebrate their 400th challenge. Congratulations and here's to many more wonderful sketches!
I'm just under the wire with my card and I rushed it so it's not my best work.  The design is fine but some of the details could use a little refinement. ;)
The little birds are from CP colored with Zigs.  I tried to do mirror imaging so both birds were of the same species but after watching 3 videos and trying several techniques to no avail I gave up.  The leafy paper is from Jen Hadfield, the "nest" is PS cut from kraft and enhanced with some DIs, and the sentiment is from HA embossed on a hand cut branch.  My son and daughter have anniversaries one day apart in September so this will go to my daughter and her husband.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your week is off to a good start.

Freshly Made Sketches #373

I was trying to combine two challenges and that didn't quite work.  What started out as a card for the other challenge (because it had an owl in it) ended up being solely for Freshly Made Sketches.
The owls came to me from Joyce Mehrberg a long time ago.  I forgot to check the maker on the back of the image before I cut it down.   She was so good about labeling all the ones she sent to me and I dropped the ball. :(  I colored them with PolyChromos pencils, added Glossy Accents to the eyes and balloon, and mounted it on Summer Sunrise from PTI that matches their polka dot paper.  The sentiment is from another owl set from MFT.

I'm so glad you dropped by and I hope you leave a comment.  I do enjoy reading them.  If you are one of those people with  "no-reply" attached to your comments I wish you would change it so I can send personal email messages back to you if I want.
