I'm way behind with my Christmas cards and I've been playing with some new things I got a while ago. One of them is perfect for the challenge at Peace on Earth.

Color Hues #119
My friend Marcia picked the colors for Color Hues and they work beautifully for this time of year. Somewhere I saw a wreath made of gourds and wanted to make one for this challenge.
I'm still trying to get my stuff organized after unpacking all I took to Michigan (plus things I bought while there) and in trying to make labels my printer quit. I guess they're not supposed to last longer than 10 years. 😖 I'm researching new ones and when I decide I'll be back in business.
Thanks for dropping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #693
I had a little time to make a card for Freshly Made Sketches before my company comes.
The weeds are a mix of Honey Bee's Autumn Bouquet and Fall Foliage, all cut in white, colored with Altenew inks, and arranged on a panel embossed with HB's Burlap. The Altenew sentiment is in a wood look frame from WF.
Thanks for dropping by. This sentiment is meant for all of you.

Group of Seven Cardmakers - Floating Frames
Almost a month has gone by since I made a card using the floating frames technique featured on the Group of Seven Cardmakers blog. I'm now just getting around to posting it.
I think the technique works better if you have a solid background die cut but since I didn't I went with the option of using small images that could be repeated around the card. The flowers from Altenew's Truly Amazing set were stamped with VersaFine Toffee and stenciled with Altenew ink. There are two different images so I stamped and colored two of each, then arranged them around the panel. The die cuts were picked up with Press and Seal and an MFT oval cut from the middle. The remaining pieces were popped up with foam tape on the card panel that had been stamped with a Penny Black sentiment in the same Toffee ink. For a better explanation, there are videos on the Go7 blog.
I made a second card with the oval that was left over.
A scalloped oval from MFT was cut in C9's Marmalade to frame the flowers and placed on a background embossed with Honey Bee's Burlap folder. The sentiment is a BetterPress from Spellbinders done in Toffee ink.
It's always fun to try new things. Thanks for dropping by to see what I did.

Color Throwdown #820
Whenever I see the colors like those in the Color Throwdown challenge, I usually pull out my Honey Bee Autumn Bouquet.
The stems were all cut from kraft and the 'blossom's' from colored cardstock inked for dimension. HB's picnic basket makes a great container cut in a plaid from my stash and the background is their burlap folder.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.

Freshly Made Sketches #655 and Tic Tac Toe #257
I finally had some inspiration for a couple of challenges and the right stamps/dies to make them. This one is for Freshly Made Sketches.
The gourds are from Honey Bee's Fall Bounty, cut in white (except the one on the left that was cut from yellow) and colored with a variety of inks. The background is Altenew Yogurt cardstock embossed with HB's burlap folder. The sentiment is also HB.
I'm also sending this to Tic Tac Toe, using the top row across - Harvest, Orange, Die Cut. I hope my one little pumpkin is enough orange to qualify.
Thanks for dropping by.

Just Us Girls #721 - Color Week
It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has a bright color way for us.
My first thought was Halloween. 😀 But then I remembered the pumpkin die from Honey Bee and that started the ball rolling. It's basically an all Honey Bee card.
Cut from orange cardstock, I used detail brushes to add more orange to the debossed ribs. A slit was cut in the top so I could add my die cut flowers, one from Spring Greenery and two from Autumn Bouquet, cut in white and colored with a variety of inks. Arranging was the difficult part but once they were all taped inside the pumpkin, they were glued or pop dotted down onto the Burlap embossing folder.
I'd like to welcome Colleen Begley as our guest designer this month. Colleen and the rest of the Design Team have some wonderfully colorful cards to inspire you. We hope you'll join us in the gallery.
