Time Out #323 - Pick Two

It's October 1 and time for another Pick Two challenge at Time Out.

I made an interactive card using basket, apple and gingham.

The dies are from C9's Freshly Picked.  The apples were cut from a variety of scraps and one was stamped with "Pick Me".  The layered basket is cut from an old pack of Core'dinations cardstock which explains the texture.  The gingham was in my Bits Box, something I stamped at Michele's so many years ago I'm ashamed to admit it.

This is what you get when you "pick me".

I hope you'll join me and the Design Team in picking two for this challenge.

Color Hues #121

Well, a snowstorm hit us overnight.  It's a good time to stay in and do some crafting along with the laundry.  I made my card for Color Hues a while ago but just getting around to posting it.  It may be the wrong season now. 😕

This card is compiled from a variety of stamp companies which shows how well they work together.  Concord and 9th basket (Freshly Picked), SSS Stitched Pumpkins, Spellbinders Falling Leaves embossing folder on Spicy Yogurt cardstock from Altenew, and Honey Bee sentiment from Sweater Weather.   Now if Autumn were only back again.  😉

Thanks for dropping by.

Color Throwdown #840 and NBUS #78

My NBUS Freshly Picked Dies from Concord and 9th were perfect for the challenge at Color Throwdown.

Isn't this just the cutest basket of apples.  And what's even cuter is the fact the sentiment from the add on stamp set is included.  See that "pick me" on the top apple?  If you pull it, you get this.

Everything was cut from colored cardstock with a little shading and the basket was splattered.  The MFT Wonky Rectangle die was edged with some Mustard Seed DI to add more yellow.

Since this was the first outing for this die set, I'm sending it to Darnell's NBUS but also to her IDEAS since it's Die Week.

I'm glad you dropped by.  I love your visits and your comments.

Time Out #270 - Photo Challenge

What a delicious photo we have for you at Time Out for this next challenge.

You may remember my card from the last challenge.  Strawberries.  Ring a bell?  Well I have another fruit for you today.

Look at my lovely basket of blackberries.  The stamp is from PTI.  For the basket I cut the Honey Bee picnic basket and embossed it with Wicker Texture from Altenew, inking one side to give a little more definition and dimension.  I found some ancient PTI polka dot paper that was the same color as the leaves and added it as a border.

Graciellie Designs is out sponsor and will award the challenge winner a $25 store credit.  Some see what fruit the Design Team has chosen.  I hope they inspire you to make a card for the challenge.

Just Us Girls #700 - Color Week

We are celebrating over at Just Us Girls.  It's our 700th challenge and to thank our loyal followers there will be prizes.  The winning card will receive a prize from our host Lisa K and some of the design team members will have a prize for one of their US commenters, including me.  (See below) That is double the incentive to make a card and comment on each team member.

This challenge is for Color Week and here are the colors.

I didn't add a sentiment but here's a lovely birthday basket of flowers.  The basket is from PTI, the flowers from Simon Hurley.

There is plenty of inspiration over on the blog.  We hope to see your card in the gallery.

This is the prize for one of my commenters that will be randomly drawn on Thursday evening after the challenge closes.  Friday's Just Us Girls post will list all the prize winners in addition to the Chic of the Week.    In order to be eligible you must make a card for the challenge, comment on the Just Us GIrls challenge blog and comment here on my blog.

Simon Says Stamp Hedge Berries embossing folder and coordinating die.

Just Us Girls #648 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and the word chosen by Sue is

I happen to have a basket die from PTI so this challenge was a no-brainer. I only had to decide what to put in it.

I went with what I think are some of the most realistic fruit stamps from Sunny Studio, stamping out pears, peaches and an apple.  After stamping the sentiment from Hero Arts, I embossed the background with Altenew's Organic Linen folder.

I want to welcome Julie Beech as our guest designer this month.  She and the rest of the Design Team have plenty of baskets to inspire you.

Color Hues #40

The Color Hues challenge is blue and tan and this is what I made for them.

The basket is from PTI, cut from Desert Storm and inked a little with Frayed Burlap.  The large flowers are Cosmos from Altehew and the smaller ones are Forget-me-Nots from The Greetery.  I added a little tag and sentiment from MCS to wish you all a happy day.
