Just Us Girls #798 - Stencil Week

Just Us Girls Stencil Week is brought to you by Ina.

This is usually one of our busiest challenges and it's so great to see you loving our stencil week.

Because Altenew's Golden Days flower is so large I made a 5 by 7 card.  It was hot foiled in matte silver and stenciled with Altenew's Sugar Plum inks.  PTI's Plum Pudding was a great match for the card base.  The foiled sentiment is from SB.

Our guest designer Greta and the rest of the design team have some beautifully stenciled cards for you to peruse.  I hope you draw inspiration from them and make a card for the gallery.

ABC Christmas Challlenge U V and Stencil Fun Challenge 11/2024

I found some already stenciled ornaments in the package and created a card with them.  This one fits the bill at ABC Christmas - U for unusual Christmas colors - and also at Stencil Fun Challenge.

Pinkfresh Studio Dotted Fancy Frames, hot foiled Ornaments and Basic Banner Sentiments make up most of the card.  Altenew Frayed Leaf to ink the border, Richard Garay Pine Needles embossing folder and TH Holiday Greens make up the rest.

I need to count but I think I'm close to the number of Christmas cards I need.  How about you?

Thanks for dropping by.

Just Us Girls #741 - Stencil Challenge

The Stencil Challenge is live at Just Us Girls, with our host Stephanie.

This is one of our more popular challenges and I can see why.  Stencils are so easy to use to make fabulous cards.  The only difficulty is choosing which stencil to use.

The PinkFresh Studio Birds on a Branch was hot foiled in copper and colored through the stencil with Altenew inks.  I love the monochrome look of the image and the fact that it can be used as a masculine card.

What stencil will you choose to use?  For inspiration be sure and check out what our guest designer, Bonnie Klass, and the Design Team have made over on the blog.

Just Us Girls #739 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and our host Carol M has chosen

There are so many ways to do a frame on a card.  For me it was hot foiling.

This hot foil plate came with my Glimmer Machine and it's foiled in gold.  One of the hemstitch ovals from Spellbinders was large enough to cut it out and make a shaped card.  PFS Dainty Blossoms were cut in gold and inlaid with white scraps colored with Zigs.

The Design Team and our guest designer Bonnie Klass have plenty of inspiration for you on the blog.  We hope you will make a frame card and enter it into our gallery.

Just Us Girls #737 - Stencil Week

It's Stencil Week at Just Us Girls and our host is Elizabeth.

This is one of our most entered challenges so you are all enjoying stenciling cards.  But if you need inspiration, be sure to check out the Design Team and our guest designer Cat Craig.  They have some wonderful creations for you.

My card features the hot foiled Peony Print from Pinkfresh Studio.  Stencils were used to color it with Coral Bliss, Minty Mint and Sweet Leaf inks from Altenew using stencils.  The sentiment from Altenew's One Go Birthday is heat embossed in gold.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope to see you in the gallery.

AAA Birthday #59

Hey there, crafty friends. I'm so glad you dropped by.

I did a lot of foiling several weeks ago and one of the cards works well for the geometric challenge at AAA Birthday

I used blue foil with the Geo Blocks from Pinkfresh Studio.  The blocks were colored with a stencil and various blue inks.  The sentiment is from a pack of foiled sentiments I bought.  EZPZ masculine card for my stash.

I made another one at the same time.

This one is foiled in black and stenciled in shades of gray with a sentiment from Altenew.

I hope your week is off to a good start.

Inkspirational #306

Black and gold seems to be the colors to celebrate New Year's Eve but I made a birthday card for Inkspirational instead.

The black foiled panel from Pinkfresh Studio was in my B&P box so I pulled it out, trimmed it up and added a gold vase from Simon Hurley and flowers? from TH.  The gold embossed sentiment is from Sunny Studio.  You can see the vase in the upper right photo of the moodboard below.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great weekend.

The Flower Challenge #87 - Reminder

There is still time to make a card for The Flower Challenge where we want you to add gold to your card.

I made another Christmas card.

The gold frame is a hot foil plate from Spellbinders.  The poinsettia die and greens are from Tim Holtz and the heat embossed sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio.

The design team has more inspiration for you on the blog.  I hope you'll join us with your floral card to which you've added gold.

Pinkfresh Studio April 2023 Challenge

Today I have a card for the Pinkfresh Studio April 2023 Challenge.  I had a few of their hot foil plates but recently got the stencils to go with them.  Today's card features the Peony Print.

After coloring with the stencil, I added a stacked silver frame and a foiled thank you from Perfect Sentiments.

I was lucky enough to go to Simon Says CREATE in Columbus on Friday.  I met Heather and Lea and made a card with them at the Pinkfresh booth.

I went with my daughter and the exchange was so funny.  Lisa was sitting by Lea who said "Oh you're a stamping virgin" while at the same time Heather said "She's an art teacher" which is what I had told her.  Lisa put her new skills with her artist eye and made this card.

By the way, those sentiments come in a pre-foiled package of 43 sentiments in both silver and gold.  Great for when you're in a hurry.

The Flower Challenge #78 - Reminder

There is still time for you to make a card for The Flower Challenge using flowers and stencils, dies cuts or both.

My card uses the Flowery Bouquet Hot Foil Plate from Altenew.  It comes with stencils and I used Altenew Inks after foiling the image in silver. The foiled sentiment is from Spellbinders.

There are more cards for you to see from the Design Team.  Will they inspire you to join the challenge?

Seize the Birthday #253

I don't know why I don't play in Seize the Birthday more often.  After all birthday cards are what I make the most, besides Christmas that is.  I just happened to have an image that fit the prompt.

I foiled this Pinkfresh butterfly almost a year ago now when I had a crafting day with Bonnie.  That is what got me on the foil bandwagon.  It's been sitting in a pile of unfinished things that I finally went through to work on and knew it was perfect for this challenge.  It's inked up with Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Salt Water Taffy and Abandoned Coral.  The coral was used to ink the sentiment strip too.

Thanks for dropping by.

Inkspirational #273

Yahoo!  Another Christmas card made.  This one is for Inkspirational and their repetition theme.

I had a foiled panel that didn't turn out very well so I cut it up using the tree die from Reverse Confetti.  The background is made with torn copy paper and Distress Inks.  The trees needed a topper so I went looking (remember I have limited stamps and dies with me) and found this tiny star on the PPP Candy Treats die set that I recently ordered. 👍 The heat embossed sentiment is from the same RC set as the trees.

Thanks for dropping by.  How are your Christmas cards coming?
