The Card Concept #193a
After reading the definitions of the acceptable card styles on The Card Concept I wasn't quite sure where my card fits, if at all. It's either clean and layered, although I have no white space, or Freestyle Collage? Anyway I love this baby card that I created for my husband's grandson and his wife who are expecting a little one this summer.
That fox from HoneyBee's Heart Hugs is so cute I couldn't resist using him on my card. He's cut from white and inked with Altenew Dusty Rose. The background is a stencil from Winnie and Walter that was turned 90 degrees after the first inking to make a plaid. The sentiment was stamped on Soft Stone that was cut with a Waffle Flower dome and then embossed with a quilt folder.
I'm so glad you dropped by. Have a wonderful day!Saturday, August 20, 2022
Freshly Made Sketches #549
I brought a lot of Christmas things with me to fill my stash of cards and haven't done much with them. The challenge at Freshly Made Sketches sparked an idea.
I have more of these 'selfie' squares so using this sketch will result in even more Christmas cards. Yay!

CAS Christmas September 2021
I love a plaid and that's what CAS Christmas wants to see on our cards. I hope I get extra points for making my own plaid.
I used a background stamp from Concord and 9th, stamping it in CP Rouge ink. I added Altenew Mountain Pine in the centers of the white spaces. It didn't look plaid enough or Christmasy enough so I heat embossed gold through the red portions. Luckily I had received the sentiment die free with an order from Scrapbook.com. I heat embossed it with the same gold and stacked it up. I'm way behind in my Christmas card making but at least I have one more card for my stashThursday, July 8, 2021
Color Hues #21
I made this card before I saw the colors at Color Hues. How serendipitous! ;) It was going to be for my grandson's birthday on the 2nd but I ended up giving him a different one.
I used Concord and 9th's plaid background and a combo of CP and Altenew inks. The sentiment from Sunny Studio is popped up on foam tape.Saturday, February 22, 2020
Christmas Kickstart #28
Speaking of bandwagons, I jumped on the gnome one and bought these cuties from Sugar Pea Designs. I colored them with Altenew watercolors and placed them on a dark green Concord and 9th plaid background.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you're having a good weekend.
