CAS Christmas - April 2021

It's rainbow time over at CAS Christmas.

I went back and forth about what to do but ended up with this stocking from Concord & 9th.

I colored it with Zigs in rainbow order.  I hope the little touch of brown is okay on the pine cone.  I mean what other color could it be. ;)   Want to see the sentiment?
This is such a fun card to make and I should have done a few more while I had the set out.

Thanks for taking some time out of your day to drop by.

CAS Christmas November 2020

I love doing Christmas cards in non-traditional colors and that is what's required for this month's CAS Christmas Challenge.

The stocking from C9 was stamped on Bristol and colored with Zigs in gray, pink and turquoise.  I added some glitter embossing to the little circles for a festive touch.

Thanks for dropping by.

CAS Christmas - May

Today's card is for the CAS Christmas Challenge.
I only have one stocking die and one stocking stamp.  I went with the stamp.
The little elf is from MFT and I colored him and a couple of extra stockings with PolyChromos pencils adding some gel pen polka dots to the toes and heels.  The fireplace is made from a PTI frame die and a TH brick stencil.  The photo makes it look darker and dingier that it really is.  I tried to take two other ones and even with photo editing they wouldn't come out truer color.

Thanks for dropping by.

Merry Monday #264 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags - 2

Merry Monday has a favorite color combo of mine this week.  No, not red and black. ;)  Red and kraft.
I started by cutting a frame with SSS Stitched Rectangles, stamping the large sentiment from CASual Fridays in the center and embossing the outer one with a snowflake folder.

I also have a tag for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by Ellen's tag below.
Day two was sponsored by Newton's Nook and I don't have any of their stamps.  Instead I used a die from Paper Smooches.

I have an update on the computer saga.  Mine died.  :(  I've been researching new ones and hopefully will have one soon.  My little Chromebook is good for a lot of things but it's slow and doesn't have my programs on it.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.

Muse: Christmas Visions #79

I have a card today for Muse:Christmas Visions.  They have gone to a monthly format but guess who still waits until the last minute to get a card made. ;)
Here's the Muse card by Natasha.
I went with a DI colored background, a tall object on the left side (the Altenew birch tree) and a bear from EE.  I used a stocking from MFT's Santa's Elves colored with Zigs to put in the bear's paws.  I thought the sentiment from My Craft Spot (closed) was so cute for this little bear waiting for Santa to fill his stocking.

Thanks for dropping by.

CAS(E) This Sketch #150

Just a quick post with the card I made for CAS(E) This Sketch.
I got these stocking dies from Paper Smooches a long time ago and thought it was time I used them.  The  'fireplace' is made with embossing paste on my MFT brick stencil, leaving it rather rough.  I took a scrap of the Altenew wood panel that was in my leftover box for the mantel and cut the sentiment 4 times with an Elizabeth Crafts die.

I mentioned a while ago that I had found a box of Christmas cards that I forgot about last year.  I got them out to count them and with the ones I have made so far I have more than enough for my mailing list.  I'm sure there will be more challenges so I'll get a head start for next year.  How are you all coming with yours?

MM #94

I'm having fun mixing Christmas cards in amongst my Valentines. This week the Merry Monday challenge is to used a stocking.

When I went looking for a paper to do the stocking, I fell in love with this grey.  The cuff is from silver paper and the pom poms are from a glitter stack but the shine doesn't show up in the photo.   :(  The red is embossed with Bricks and the sentiment is from My Craft Spot.

Thanks for stopping by.
