Just Us Girls #685 - CAS Week

Elizabeth has a wonderful theme for this week's Clean and Simple challenge at Just Us Girls.

'Thinking of you' cards are good for many different occasions.  You just have to make it clean and simple.

These little PPP hummingbirds were colored with Zigs and WOS although you can't see the shine here.  I gave them a banner from MCS (oob) stamped with the sentiment from Hero Arts.  It wasn't centered so I added the little heart.  One of those happy accidents because I love the how the heart looks with it.

It's time for you to check out what the Design Team and our guest designer TK have made.  We hope to inspire you to join our challenge.  CAS seems to be a favorite with many of you.

Make It Monday #296

The challenge this week at Make It Monday is to use some of those little images that come in your stamps sets and repeat them on your card.  I often overlook some of those images but knew I had quite a few on the Jar Filler stamps.
I silver heat embossed the candy kisses from the Spring set, colored them with a silver Sharpie and used a lot of WOS.  The hugs from SSS was layered five time beside the 'and' from W&W.

This was lots of fun.  I'll be looking for ways to use my smaller stamps from now on.  How about you?

Inspired by All the Little Things #33 and Loll's Tags Day 11

While the photo inspiration for Inspired by All the Little Things appears rather vintage to me I went with a more mod interpretation.
The trees from MFT are colored with Zigs and a little WOS was applied to the star.  The sentiment is from SSS.

Now for a more glamorous creation, I  have a tag for Loll's 12 Tags of Christmas, inspired by this one on day eleven.

I used the same stencil with embossing paste and gold glitter powder.   I didn't have a wreath so added a red foil ornament instead.
Here's a close-up so you can see the shine and the sentiment.  I love the look of this so much I plan to do an entire card front with the same stencil.

I'm supposed to be sewing on a quilt but I have seven finished cards on my desk and thought I'd better post this one at least.  The rest will come later. I hope you come back to take a peek.

CAS(E) This Sketch #151

I veered a little from the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch.
I stamped, die cut and colored the images from SSS with Zigs, adding a little WOS to the white areas. I love how it turned out.

Muse: Christmas Visions #27

Kimberley Wiener gave us a delightful card as our Muse this week. It reminds me of when we had a cat that loved to climb into the Christmas tree.
I took my inspiration from the ornaments, their color, the branches, the sentiment and made this:
The ornaments and branches are Christmas Scribbles from Essentials by Ellen colored with Zigs with a little WOS added, and the silver embossed sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers. I think I will make another one of these and color it with something else so I can put Glossy Accents on the ornaments and not discolor them.  I've had a little problem with that.

Tag You're It! #32

Would you believe that I do not have a single Santa image in my stamp collection?  The inspiration for Tag You're It! features one but I had to go another way.
I think I went a few different ways now that I look at Kelly's card again.  I did do a white tag with a winter image and a printed background but that's about it.
I didn't even put my tag on the same side of the card but my little MFT elf had to be looking toward the sentiment.  The tag is NBUS from MFT, the elf is colored with Distress Inks, and the sentiment is from Essentials by Ellen.  I used WOS on the fur of his shirt and cap and silver glitter embossed the bell.  Yes, it's silver AND glitter.  So shiny and beautiful.  Those of you who Copic color, don't look too closely at his face.  I had a hard time making it even on the Neenah he was cut from.

I'm so glad you dropped by.  Why not leave a comment to let me know you were here.

AAA #39

Happy Birthday to AAA Challenge Blog!

They are asking for birthday cards this time and since I had to make one for my granddaughter, I'm also entering it here.

I'm still playing around with my new Winnie and Walter Party stamps. This is my third try and I'm still not happy with it but it is rather celebratory.  With WOS on it, it looks better IRL. I used a variety of Distress Inks to watercolor the streamers and confetti and inserted a sentiment from HA between the popped up panels.

Thanks for stopping by.  Your visits and comments are truly appreciated.

CASology #82

I have a card for the challenge at CASology.

What could be more bold than a card that says "Bold"?

The word is cut with my Cricut twice so I would have a shadow.  The sentiment is from PTI's Wishes Come True.  I did a little Wink of Stella on the blue and purple bursts to give it that celebratory feel.

Thanks for stopping by.

CASology #77

What do you think when you see this word?

There are so many different ideas you can find over at the CASology gallery.  Me?  I immediately thought of a bubble bath. Then I went looking for an image.  Fortunately there was a shadow image on my A Child's Year cartridge.

I typed the sentiment on my computer, stamped some bubbles in Fresh Snow with a stamp from PTI's Polka Dot Basics and swished them with some Wink of Stella.  I added a few above the tub with VersaMark and some sparkle embossing powder.  You can see them better in this close-up.

I never take bubble baths anymore so I don't know why that came to mind.  Maybe wishful thinking?  I wonder if I have any bubbles around.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you take time to relax..
