Just Us Girls #748 - Word Week

Stephanie is our host for Word Week at Just Us Girls and she has chosen

This should be a colorful gallery considering that the leaves are beginning to turn in the northern US.

I must confess that I made this card back in early May before coming to the lake and didn't write down the dies I used.  I went back through a lot of my blog posts and it seems that I may not have used this die before.  Asking Google to identify it didn't help so I'm thinking they're no longer available.  The outlines are cut from texture gold cardstock and layered over pieces covered with Mica Sprays.  The rust background is embossed with the Tasteful Textiles folder from SU.

The Design Team and our guest Kerry have some colorful cards for you to peruse.  Hopefully they will inspired you to make a card for the gallery.

Just Us Girls #651 - Photo Week

Nancy is hosting the Photo Week challenge at Just Us Girls this week and she has chosen an appropriate photo for this time of year.

The one thing I love about living in the Midwest is the changing seasons and none is more beautiful than Fall.

The leaves were cut from watercolor paper using my two sizes of Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves.  They were colored with a variety of Distress Inks and when dry arranged on Spicy Yogurt cardstock from Altenew.  A simple foiled sentiment from Altenew was the finishing touch.

I'm guessing it will be a colorful gallery this week.  Let's start by seeing what the Design Team and our guest Julie Beech have made using the photo as inspiration.   Then it's up to you to make a card and link it up.  Who knows.  You may have a chance to be a future guest.

Edited to Add: Since my card qualifies for the Double D challenge - Things that Fall - I will be sending my card to their galllery.

Less Is More #431

I have a few people who need prayer cards so I made one for Less Is More.

I used two different color greens for the dies from The Stamp Market and Poppystamps and a third for the SSS sentiment.

Thanks for dropping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #387

Freshly Made Sketches gave me the opportunity to use a new product.  Nuvo Expanding Mousse.
I die cut my own stencil using a tag from SSS and applied the mousse, heating it right away.  They say you get a different result if you let it dry first but I was in a hurry to get this finished and ready to post.  I just happened to have the two leaf cuts in with the Poppystamps die and thought they looked good together with mousse color.  The trimmed panel was added to some Desert Storm after stamping the HA sentiment in PTI Kraft.

To all of you celebrating, I wish you a Happy Mother's Day.
