Just Us Girls #766 - Word Week

I picked the word for Word Week at Just Us Girls and this is it.

I know this looks like a color challenge but you can interpret this any way you choose.  It doesn't have to be all green.  I mean what about a golf theme or maybe money.  Anything you associate with green.  Here's what I did.

A gentleman was selling out of his Penny Black stock at a big discount and I picked up a few oldies from him including the Toadily stamp set.  Using the MFT irregular stencil, I inked the sides with Salty Ocean on Bristol cardstock.  The toad was colored with Zigs and the sentiment from Hero Arts stamped in two shades of Altenew ink.   Although I prefer to think of them as frogs, I'm sure it's because of the pun sentiment included that they are called toads.

Now it's your turn to think about something green.  The Design Team and our guest Jeanne Jachna have inspiration for you over on the blog.  Check them out and make a card for the gallery.  We'd love to see you there.

Inkspirational #261

Critters that hop.  There aren't a lot of them but Inkspirational wants to see what we have in their newest challenge.

I saw a lot of bunnies on the blog but wanted to do something different.  I hope Inkspirational will forgive me for using an image I entered in a challenge two years ago for the word 'leap'.

I had a play day with Brushos on my gel plate and used one of the panels to stamp this frog from Woodware. I love lime and navy so made a background by clear embossing the SSS Circle Doodle background stamp on GinaK navy cardstock.  The  frog was fussy cut, layered and his hands and feet popped up.  Glossy Accents bring his eyes to life and a remnant of the panel was cut with an MFT sentiment die. Doesn't he look like he's celebrating something?

CAS Watercolor - May

Yes I'm honored to be the guest designer at CAS Watercolor.  I won in March for this card which warranted the invitation.  For May the prompt is
I have a lot of floral stamps but I do cherish a few other stamps that can be used for a child's card.  A recently purchased one from Penny Black is a prime example.
I watercolored her with Distress Ink and placed her on a three layered die cut from MFT.  I thought her legs looked a little like the Os in Hooray.

Now that you've seen my card, let's all go over and see what the Design Team did.  I'm sure there will be some fabulous cards to inspire you there.

CAS(E) This Sketch #286

CAS(E) This Sketch gave me a chance to use my NBUS  'Hooray' die from MFT.
I had this shaving cream marble panel in my WTDWT drawer and thought it would make a celebratory background for the Glossy Accent covered word die (which is actually the same color blue).  I tied in the yellow (pun intended) with a balloon from SSS, also covered with GA.

So glad you dropped by.
