Color Hues #6

The minute I saw the Color Hues challenge I thought of kraft cardstock.  Next came the idea for colored pencils on kraft which is a look I love.  The results?

The actual card is much prettier with that waxy shine you get from PolyChromos.  I used the Mondo Poinsettia from EbyE with a sentiment from SSS.  That is my wish for you this holiday season.

The Flower Challenge #21 - Reminder

There's still time to play at The Flower Challenge this month.  The theme is
These can be found under a tab on the blog.  Remember a flower has to be the focal point of your card and it must be colored or stamped by you.  I chose 'background stamping' for my challenge.
I stamped the flowers and leaves from Altenew in HA Soft Brown on Neenah Desert Storm and colored them with my PolyChromos pencils.  I accented the stamens with a brown pen and added the dots to fill in the spaces.  The sentiment die is from CPD, cut three times.

You are going to want to see what the Design Team and our guest this month, Stef Perry, have made for their reminder cards.  I peeked at some and they are fabulous. Check them out and then make a card for the challenge. Please be sure to tell us the number of the previous challenge you chose.

CAS(E) This Sketch #245 and Seize the Birthday

I'm ahead of schedule for posting a card for CAS(E) This Sketch.  Usually it's a last minute thing but I got a new stamp set from CASual Fridays that was perfect for a card.
After embossing the flowers with platinum, I colored them with Inktense pencils.  I embossed a sentiment from PTI so I could send my card to Seize the Birthday where the topping is kraft card base.

Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.

Inspired By All the Little Things #67

I was looking at my challenge list and realized I hadn't checked out this week's Inspired By All the Little Things.  With Darnell as host, and Bonnie as guest designer, I had to make a card so that's what I've been doing this morning.  Here's the inspiration photo.

I was inspired by the little white pumpkins and fall leaves.

The word die from CP was cut three times which explains the blurriness.  Some patterned paper for the leaves,  pumpkins and something for them to sit on was all I needed to pull it together.

Thanks for dropping by. I may be back later with more cards after I retake the photos.  Even with the light box and photo editing program, they aren't turning out as well as I'd like.  It's amazing how things change when seeing them on the big screen.  And some things barely visible to the naked eye look like big mistakes.
